Since the PS3 app was fixed from being down, my episodes start at the end now and I always have to rewind them to the beginning. It did not do this before the PS3 app went down ( got through 200 episodes normally ). Its mot a huge problem but its very annoying and a little inconvenient since you cant rewind that fast and it sometimes when im rewinding and get to the beginning, it shoots back to the end again. Anyone have a solution to this?

With the latest update to the app, CR added the ability to resume videos that haven't been watched all the way through.

If you still have a significant number of videos you plan to re-watch, you might consider clearing your /history, but this will reset all shows in your queue.

Which has been the most frustrating lack for me, up until now. My PS3 is the CR box on my primary TV, and the lack of mid-episode resume has been the major stopping factor in why I wouldn't start watching episodes elsewhere.
(Like on my work lunchbreak on my iPad, or at the end of the day when my eyes may decide to give up before an episode finishes

I've moved this over to the Sony Gaming Platforms help forum, since it's been mentioned there in other threads, and I think eyeofpain's info that this is indeed a feature, not a bug, will be useful there.

ETA: However, if "rewinding" is difficult and doesn't always work, then I'd say that problem behavior is a bug.

BTW, On Roku and AppleTV there is an option for each episode to either "Resume" or "Play from beginning." I take it that's not an option available on the new PS3 app?

I've experienced this, AND my episodes are refusing to play certain spots / skipping bits. And trying to rewind back to those skipped bits sends me back to the end of the episode.

It is indeed not an option, and yes, it is actually a bug. I don't blame the guys for not wanting to show their face in the Sony help forum right now given the last week, but this issue will have to be acknowledged eventually. Good luck everybody!

I am having the exact same problem as well. I tried contacting customer support, but unfortunately they provided a vague feedback on this issue. I don't know about you guys but, this problem made me more frustrated than the lag issue. Also this issue made me look for a replay button, which i just realize doesn't exist for the ps3 app.

At first I would have said this was a great addition to the PS3 app. Unfortunately the bugginess of the app remains and is causing me viewing issues when I need to rewind an episode I'm re-watching. Without a resume from start option I need to rewind the video which has caused crashes. Resetting my history isn't an option when I'm watching shows in my queue that have so many episodes that the app crashes if I try to scroll through the episode list.
In short, Crunchyroll needs to add a play from start function or disable this "convenience" because it's just compounds the problems they haven't fixed (or those they can't fix).

People were requesting this feature for a long time for the app to remember where you left off in an episode and this is what we received in the end.. Guess they can't please you all..
