Bokura Minna Kawaisou is really good. Not good enough that I listed it as a favorite but it is really good. Don't let the synopsis put you off. That makes it sound really generic and somehow it isn't really that generic. It is actually more slice of lifey than even a rom com I'd say. While his crush is there and there are some rom com jokes it is more about the antics of the bunch of them living in Kawaisou. I actually wish the romance was a bit more front and center but it is still good as it is.

My favorites this season so far have been The Kawai Complex Guide to Manners and Hostel Behavior, Knights of Sidonia, Chaika: The Coffin Princess and No Game, No Life.

For now it's One Week Friends and No Game, No Life. Jojo Stardust Crusaders is good but hasn't lived up to the first season yet. And I still have to watch this Ping Pong everyone talks about.

Because it interests me enough to keep me watching it, but it's typically hit-or-miss on how well I like the show as it goes along.

Are you quoting this synopsis without watching an episode? Either way, I really like it. The dynamic between Usa and Ritsu is really heartwarming! It's so precious seeing him try to understand her and accept what she does because he cares about her. Considering I see a lot of myself in Ritsu, I guess the show really hits close to home (besides the whole liking to read thing . My form of entertainment is anime, video games, etc).

No Game, No Life for my non-serious show and Knights of Sidonia for the serious side. Gotta keep up the balance.

Brynhildr in the darkness at the moment. It's my kind of genre and themes. I just love sci-fi and anything to do with government conspiracies, unethical human experimentation. And this anime fits that bill.

It also has a suspenseful story and raises a lot of questions in my head:
