I started watching in 2005 as a Russell T Davies fan. by the end of "Rose," I was a Doctor Who fan.

I really like Capaldi, it felt to me like it took the show a few episodes to catch-up with his Doctor. I mean, he WAS the Doctor from the first frame, but the rest of the show didn't FEEL like Doctor Who until "Listen." If that makes sense?

I've not read any of the books, unless The Writer's Tale counts. There are so many novels now that it feels a bit intimidating to start on them (collector's compulsion to read them all in their publication order really slows things down.)

I have read all the Torchwood novels and listened to the audiobooks and radio plays, though.

Been watching since '05. Capaldi is great btw, so even though I wasn't too big on season 8, I'm sure he alone will make the Christmas special worth watching.

Nick Frost actually had me enjoying the jokes, which I'm usually not fond of in most episodes.

i loved the tenth doctor, but everyone knows that converse beats big ears

I do love Eccleston though, even with the 1 season he got. He's so convincingly angry.

He did unfortunately have more than a few shitty episodes. Like Fear Her, and most of Season 3 IMO(family of blood and blink were good)

The ending with all the different statues was so mean. I recognized some of them from my city, which as a child was awful
