I can't wait for Capaldi to be written out and they bring a better doctor in (He doesn't need to be some nerd girls fantasy boy like Tenant (10th), but please let the next one not be an utter tool like Capaldi)

I would have really enjoyed seeing John Hurt as the Doctor instead of Capaldi. Seeing him in the role for only a single episode was a shame.

Given his health problems, it would not have been possible

I didn't watch a single episode with Matt Smith in it. Something about his face is just absolutely repulsive to me. So I'm just glad he's no longer the doctor. Peter Capaldi was good, but Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant were definitely better. So long as they don't use another Matt Smith, I'm fine, 'cause I'd like to at least be able to watch the show.

I want to see multi companions, a tardis overfilled with people. Seems perfect for series 10, if coleman does leave. Seems fitting with capaldi.

I'd like to see an alien companion, someone who finds it hard fitting in with modern day earth but actually fits in well with the alien races, reminding us how strange humans really are.

A partial converted cyberman, someone who retains their human side but has tech/armour from the cybermen. Preferably the mondos variant, as cybus would be body parts in a suit. Probably ideal character to be like adriac, a character who saves the day when the doctor can't save him. Also a key role in that the doctor isn't perfect/save everyone & potential companion departures.

A samurai/soldier from feudal japan, a wider variety of male companions plus someone who is from the past trying to fit in with modern day. Also be interesting if he, the most loyal companion, turns his back on the doctor. Willingly give up the adventures because he sees the doctor become less caring, a hint to the valeyard persona.

A female companion who is different to the new who companions so far.

I'd love to see a Japan story in DW someday. Maybe a story that involves anime or video game characters who enter the real world. There could also be in-jokes about Japanese pop culture. Australia would be a good setting for DW too, maybe a visit from the Peter Davison era companion Tegan, who was the only Aussie companion in the shows history.

So series 9 (35) starts us off with a colossal bang. I really wasn't expecting anything near this good. This episode has me wondering so many things about how they'll go forward. Unfortunately, the constants of Doctor Who will never change. The same hero and villains will always find a way of making it back on-screen. The only real question is, how will they do it this time?

I loved the Christopher Eccelston & Billie Piper combo, learned to love David Tennant, and merely tolerated Matt Smith. Tuned in to watch the new Doctor episodes, and it was a Dallek episode. Nope not going to do it. In the 80's PBS aired the Tom Baker episodes, where I had my first dose of Dallek. The whole "Exterminate!" business is not for me. It wouldn't be bad if it was just them that did that sort of thing. Doctor Who seems to be infested with aliens that screech out one-liners.

It was not a Dalek episode, It was a Davros episode. Dalek's only got involved at the end.

My bad, they were being injected into something that looked like a Dallek, and that's all I had to see.

Understandable. Davros did create the Daleks.
