Of course you should just watch both. The sub and dub are both so damn amazing, plus Brotherhood is so damn good it is worth watching at least twice.

I honestly can't stand dubs after a few years of watching only dubs. I watched an episode of the FMA:B dub and really liked it, but I still think the sub is better.

Dubs blow. There's only a handful of dubs that do not blow. Certainly not enough to make me ever make a practice out of choosing dubs or over subs. And honestly, subs just sound more authentic to me. I mean, most anime takes place in Japan, so when they are speaking Japanese, it just feels more complete. I haven't listened to a single dub since Louie The Rune Soldier. So, I would obviously recommend FMA:B in subs.

Except FMA clearly isn't set in Japan. Thus in this case subbed, while AMAZING, isn't authentic.

Dubbed is more authentic. Though more realistically speaking, a German dub would be the most authentic version.

LOL I can't help but start rolling from this comment. I would agree to it....IF FMAB wasn't in any way attached to a Japanese setting that comment is about as laughable to saying Baccano would be more authentic being subbed...yeahhhh all those Japanese New York accents are so very sexy.

I didn't make a clear distinction between what I meant. I meant as a whole, most anime is set in Japan, so I find subs more authentic. I did not mean that FMA:B was set in Japan. I really didn't remember where it was set up honestly, I figured it was some part of Europe, perhaps Britain, but it's been a while, so I didn't remember it was Germany. (Which should've been kind of obvious from the names now that I think about it. "Furher King Bradley", "Elric Brothers", kind of obvious.

But, to my point, I didn't mean FMA specifically, but most anime in general.

Go with sub if you like reading, dub if you don't (:

Both are good, but I will go sub everyday before dub because subtitles, I like to read the text haha x)

But seriously, both are equally good, just go and try and find what you likes the most ! (:

I'd recommend the dub, only because its rare to find a dub that actually matches the sub in quality.

Well let me put it like this :

Sub if you want to be a weeb elitist.

Dub if you want to be an ignorant murican.

pick your poison.

Honestly, a big part of me always choosing subbed over dubbed is because I feel like if I read it I retain more information than if I listen to it. I'm not sure why.

Well, so far, 30 people agree that you should watch FMA Brotherhood. Whether you watch sub or dub is a personal choice...

As stated before, there are a lot of DUBS that aren't very good and a few DUBS that are amazing. FMA Brotherhood's DUB is amazing and you should definitely watch it in English. However, you should watch the sub as well. Which one comes first is up to you.

One of the only anime's that I preferred the dub over the sub, partly because I hate Edwards Japanese VA and there really isn't much of a difference quality wise,

In your defense, you in no way implied you were talking about FMA. Your comment just didn't play with the thread title.

Just for my own peace of mind, it's set in Amestris, which seems to be a sort of amalgamation of Europe. The original Amestris pushed out and absorbed a bunch of other countries as I recall. Sounds familiar..

Side note (might be slightly spoilery):
