I used to read nonstop marvel but then they started going overboard with their big summer event crossovers that required you to by all marvel books involved. Plus the crossovers often got in the way of series that had their own awesome story arcs going on so it got annoying. Plus i loved the writing in DC comics much better. People like Geoff johns of action comics and green lantern fame was amazing. If youve never read a comic read "Identity Crisis" guaranteed you'll either love DC after or appreciate it a little more. DC is now my favorite with comics. But when it comes to movies marvel is very talented and smart for making one cohesive universe from which to build on. I could name a lot of DC heroes and villians and name you why theyre interesting as well if youd like XD I love manga and anime as well but comics is where i began

Give me just one.

Sinestro. I Chose someone who isnt as well known. Now lets forget about the horrible live action green lantern movie. Hes best know for the sinestro corps saga in green lantern. He very fascinating as a villian. When he began he was one of the first green lanterns that Hal jordan (the green lantern thats most known) saw as a mentor. Sinestro was a no bullshit green lantern that acted more like a father figure and mentor than just a fellow friend. He was even hailed as the greatest green lantern since his section of space was the safest. 2 green lanterns are always sent to cover a section of space. While on a mission, Hal goes to sinestros home planet, Korugar only to find that sinestro has been having public executions, rules over by terror tactics, eliminated all opposing politicians and has kept his planet at "peace" with brute force. The green lanterns power is a strong one. He is later captured and stripped of his ring and banished. Both the guardians of the galaxy (watchers of the universe), Hal Jordan, and sinestro ALL strive for the same goal but each in a different way. Sinestro truly believes that his way is the right way and only desires peace but goes about it the wrong way. After many years of being a lantern and seeing no progress he went the road he went down. Over time Now he has grown into a power hungry tyrant that eventually created his own corps, the sinestro corps (yeah he is very full of himself). He has an army at his disposal and a belief system thats out of wack because of his upbringing. Not a good mix. He actually helps the universe in his own way throughout ... well im not getting more into. thats basic gist.

Theres also Identity crisis which i mentioned before. Murder mystery pretty much. To what extent will a hero go to protect their family and friends. Explains why there is a need for a mask and how the justice league REALLY works behind the scenes. Lots of secrets in the justice league.

sorry for long reply

oh man please dont watch it. It made me cry how disrespectful they were to the green lantern mythos. Its like your favorite manga being turned into a steaming pile of horse dookie. Plus itll give you a bad first impression on green lantern. XD atleast we got the batman movies

In my mind Marvel will always win through the epic movies they make. But DC will always have a place in my heart because of batman.

Do you think if there were a live action movie of the Justice League just like the The Avengers would it do great?

I think it would depend on how they lead up to it. Like they would have to do separate movies on each of the main characters in the justice league to give background on characters, it could build up to a pretty epic Justice League movie in the end. But if they just went straight into it and made a Justice League movie it would be confusing just with the amount of people in the Justice League with no background on any of the characters beforehand unless you're a comic book junkie.

Marvel, DC is trash compared to it imo. The heroes and villains of Marvel are much better than the heroes and villains of DC. The only people I really like in DC are Batman and Joker.

I love them both, but I lean towards marvel. Marvel is just more advanced with its characterization of the people. DC has pushed for this character development relatively recently, but Marvel was always there, crafting their characters from day one. When I think DC, I think of the more iconic characters who don't need film to express their uniqueness. Marvel has a more gritty take on it no matter how you look at it, more light shines on DC than Marvel, but that is clearly neglected by most. Superman (Still think he's cool, but that isn't my point) is a boy scout, just a merry super powered dude. Spider-man has a friendly, yet troubled image compared to him. Marvel anti-heroes are also more awesome; punisher, deadpool, ghost rider, and Luke Cage (I believe he can be considered one anyways) are way better than what DC's got, and that's just to name a few (I do like the red hood though).

I'm not as into comics as I once was but I'd go with DC if only because the only superhero I really care about anymore, Nightwing, is DC. HOWEVER DC's been trying to off him lately and as of that Forever Evil mess he's no longer Nightwing so yeah. I've been throwing a little hissy fit at this. Stupid Agent Grayson BS.

Aside from that I'd also go with DC because I've preferred their TV shows on the whole. I'm kind of sick of superhero movies but Batman the
Animated Series and Young Justice are two of my favorite cartoons. And the 1966 Batman Show is just one of my favorite things in the world.

As far as villains go...I'm partial to Poison Ivy, I just think her powers are really cool. I really liked Red Hood as a villain before they decided he was an anti-hero. Yeah...not of fan of him as an anti-hero...
