I apologize if this is the wrong board for this. Every NBA related thread I've found is closed and I figure this is probably where they originated.

Anywho, the NBA Playoffs are now down to just four teams again. The Indiana Pacers versus the Miami Heat (3-1, Miami) and the San Antonio Spurs versus the Oklahoma City Thunder (2-2, series tied). One more Miami win and Indiana's tumultuous season is over, while it's a toss up in the Western Conference Finals (no matter how unlikely a repeat of 2012's WCF is).

What do you guys think? Who's going to make it out of these series? Who's going to win it all? Who should still be in the Playoffs? Why do the Houston Rockets suck so much? These are questions that all crave answers!

Stopped watching when the Wizards got eliminated. Now I just hope someone beats the Heat.

I'll watch the Finals though.

The Rockets are my team and I had trouble even watching them in the first round, they sucked so bad. Ugh. So bad. And then that final shot came in Game 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mejFtEY5faU). Gut wrenching.

But I was still pulling for Memphis, Los Angeles, Washington, Toronto and a couple of others. All of those teams are gone now and I'm not sure who to pull for (except anyone that's not Miami).

Ah Damian Lillard's dagger... Saw it on ESPN the next morning, it must have horrible watching it live for a Rockets fan. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

It was one of those moments where you're watching it and it takes a good few seconds to register what you just saw. Like, nerves are tense still and your heart is in your throat and then just... deflation.

Yeah, it really sucked. With the way they were playing all series, though, they wouldn't have stood a chance in the second round anyway.

Being a Blazers fan the Lillard shot was the best thing in a long time for the Blazers.
I think Oklahoma can put away the Spurs and face Miami in the final.

First off, thanks for starting a thread on NBA playoffs for those who are also anime fans. Second, were we spoiled by all the great series in the first round??? So many close games and I had hoped for more underdog teams to surprise by winning. (note: since my team is out (Orlando Magic), I can just enjoy the games)

The Spurs looked dominant the first two games v Thunder. Serge Ibaka coming back has had a big influence along with other changes that OKC made and now the Thunder look to be the dominant team. This is already a good series and could be great depending on the next 2/3 games.

Miami will finish off Indiana in one of the next two games (Pacers may win a desperation game 5). The Pacers just look too immature as a team - they seem to panic when they are behind.

Yeah, I can imagine that. When Chandler Parsons made the shot right before that to presumably send it back to Houston for Game 7, I told my friend that the game isn't over yet. They have a second. It's not likely they get a shot off and win the game, but I've seen it happen before.

And then... I saw it happen again. I guess it's those moments you live for as a fan, but I'm usually on the wrong side of them.

You are very welcome! And I do think the first round spoiled us rotten. I mean, man, how couldn't it? I don't think there has ever been a first round that good before. Multiple game winning, buzzer beating three pointers. One of them won a series. So many Game 7s. Washington coming into its own. That Toronto/Brooklyn series went literally down to the last tenth of a second. And then the Los Angeles Clippers' hugely emotional win over the Golden State Warriors after everything that went down in that organization. It's just crazy.

Then round two calmed down a lot. I tended to pay less attention when the Clippers finally got bumped, but I still catch the games when I can. I don't have a team I'm pulling for, but I know I'm not a big Miami fan. I feel like not many people are. I'm not big on San Antonio either, but I'd sooner cheer for them than Miami.

At this point, I guess I'd like to see Kevin Durant win, ideally. After his MVP speech, I have trouble rooting against the guy.

Damian's shot was the best thing ever. That game winner made up for a terrible stretch of basketball under Nate McMillan and Brandon Roy. The Blazer team now makes me as happy as I was back in the 'Sheed days.

As a Blazers fan, Houston sucks because Houston sucks. Objectively though, Houston sucks because the only player capable of playing the point for your squad is balling in Toronto now; how Lowry was thought of less than Lin and Beverley confuses me. Lin and Beverley can't pass to save their lives.

I would hate to see the Heat win another title. Their stars are too good and too entitled. They remind me of the Shaq/Kobe Lakers who could commit murder on the court and not get called. I'd rather see the greybeards from San Antonio or KD and the ninja turtle win it all.

If James Dolan can stay out of the damn Kool-Aid, that team might actually go places. Dude's constantly interfering with team operations, though.

Oklahoma City Thunder, all day and not just cause its my hometown.

Though i am a firm believer that they should fire Scott Brooks, but i am not one of those that blames only the coach for not winning us the finals in the past years.

i would love to see the Pacers make a comeback and win Eastern conference even tho its nearly impossible now. i am getting tired of seeing Miami in the NBA finals, and no one wants a repeat of last years Spurs vs Heat.
