if they could keep their young players like Murry, Shump & THJ, they have potential

Damian's shot was the best thing ever. That game winner made up for a terrible stretch of basketball under Nate McMillan and Brandon Roy. The Blazer team now makes me as happy as I was back in the 'Sheed days.

As a Blazers fan, Houston sucks because Houston sucks. Objectively though, Houston sucks because the only player capable of playing the point for your squad is balling in Toronto now; how Lowry was thought of less than Lin and Beverley confuses me. Lin and Beverley can't pass to save their lives.

Kyle Lowry wasn't thought of as less. Houston would've loved to have kept him, but Lowry forced a trade because he didn't want to play for Kevin McHale. He has said it's a decision he regrets now, because of what he could've learned from McHale, but that it is what it is. And, I'm sorry, but point guard is not the position the team hurts the most at (as little as I like seeing Jeremy Lin on the floor in the final seconds). The team needs a real stretch forward, someone who can play as either small or power forward, and who is a real threat in the middle. For all his faults (and he has plenty), James Harden is more than enough as the team's creator. I'd say they need a real defensive specialist, but defense is clearly not in this team's plans.

I won't say much about Portland, because I have nothing against the Blazers, but I don't see them really going anywhere in the next few years. A few second round appearances at best before LA either starts breaking down from injuries or leaves town. And I'm sure Dame's enthusiasm about staying in Portland sours when that happens and he's all alone, because Portland is not known for making blockbuster acquisitions.

Oklahoma City Thunder, all day and not just cause its my hometown.

Though i am a firm believer that they should fire Scott Brooks, but i am not one of those that blames only the coach for not winning us the finals in the past years.

That's actually pretty neat. They do that here in Houston, too, but with the Texans.

And yeah, I dunno. I think Scott Brooks is alright. I think there are definitely better coaches out there, but I don't think he's a bad coach by any stretch of the imagination. I definitely think that, if any year is OKC's year, this is the year.

Ah Damian Lillard's dagger... Saw it on ESPN the next morning, it must have horrible watching it live for a Rockets fan. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

I was really hoping Oladipo was going to show the Magic boys how it's done. There's always next year though.

They could sacrifice Stephenson or Watson and injured Dwayne Wade. They could be suspended and fined, but at least it lessens the fire power of the Heat and make Pacers or the other teams beat Heat off the playoffs.

Knicks all day, even if they go 0-82

This summer or next summer (I can't remember) they have hope. Apparently, Kevin Love mentioned how he was interested in going to NY and there will be so many free agents. Phil Jackson will also help with advice and make decisions once they find their new coach (If they didn't already). I was pumped when I heard this and I can't wait!!!

It depends, I think OKC will win the west but as for the east, you just don't know. If Indiana can get there heads in the game then yeah, but the problem is that they're a young team.

I am not a big Miami fan, especially being an Orlando fan. But Lebron is soooooo good - it is compelling to watch greatness. I don't mind if they win. If they don't win I think them being dethroned in the finals is the way it should go.

KD and OKC in the finals would be a fun matchup against Heat. A chance to get back after their loss two years back. And KD is even more likable after the MVP speech. Also a matchup of the top two in MVP votes for a few years running.

I don't know, man. Players are so wise now. They know what to say in front of the public and the media.
It's like they're taking some public speaking classes or they have speech coaches like the ones they do in politics.

Sometimes I just want to see an MVP that acts like Takamura in Hajime no Ippo.
He'll be like, "you guys are so weak!!! I'm declaring war on every single team!! Come and Get Some!! I'm the champion. I'll conquer all the titles and the world!! Olympic games are just a stepping stone."

I'm rooting for OKC. Serge Ibaka's return had a great impact on the team and Russell Westbrook had a great game last night!

I like your take for the fun side of it! More like Charles Barkley back in the day.
