One of the few multi-monitor 1080p anime wallpapers I've found!

That... is just awesome. I never even considered such a thing.

I'm surprised at how few shortcuts everyone has compared to me.

Who needs shortcuts when you have the start menu search in 7/vista/8? Just type what you want :P. Shortcuts actually take up RAM anyway...

Do they take up much?

Much is relative and it depends on what is actually on your desktop. If you've got an older computer with a gig of RAM having a lot of shortcuts or documents (especially files at that, big videos and pictures take up alot more RAM if they're not in a folder on your desktop) on your desktop is likely to be problematic. Anything with 4GB or more you should be ok no matter how much you put on there, but imho every little bit helps especially if you're playing games/photoshopping/video editing/watching stuff.

But hey, you're also talking to the woman who puts a 30 megabyte video on her desktop as opposed to a static image--so maybe who am I the one to talk xD. (Yet again, I'm using a pretty powerful desktop computer with a nice video card, maxed out RAM, and processor with a speed over 3GHz and have plenty of power to spare, plus the video shuts off when I play games automatically, so meh, idk)

Is that RAM or VRAM? I have about 1.5GB of VRAM but 1TerraByte of normal RAM and 3.50 GHz.

It uses RAM not VRAM (VRAM=video RAM), and you don't have 1TB of RAM...if you did your computer would be insanely expensive (think $100k if not more), trust me. You may have a 1TB hard drive though. Regardless you can check by going to system properties by...

1. Clicking on the start menu.
2. Right-clicking on the word "computer" on the right hand side of the start menu.
3. Clicking properties.

AHHHH IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE!!! whats with the shortcuts in random places?

I generally use the taskbar or search menu to find open programs...my desktop is usually just an easy to access storage place :3 allows me to reach files I need/want really easily...so I don't organize it too often :3 sowwy q.q

*edit* The quote thing went really weird o.o

Oh yeah yeah yeah, my mistake (no sleep'll do that to you). I've got 16.0GB of RAM so I assume I'm pretty well off.

I don't have a lot since I recently factory reset my computer. Either way, I always liked the design of the person's pic, so I got permission to have it as my desktop :>

As a gamer I just can't make linux my primary OS (dual booting)

It lacks a universal container for programs that include all the required libs to run applications across all distros. (it is too much work for developers unfortunately) I do see linux gaming being more viable in the future as some big names are starting to push the issue but its just not there yet.

yeah, linux can run pretty much everything, but its a lot of custom dll's from windoze and interperters for the x86 system, it really slows things down.
