Hey guys,

We've got news that there will be an upcoming PSN Maintenance coming up on June 2, so don't worry if your Crunchyroll app seems a little wonky! More details are as follows from Sony:

Date: June 2, 2014 (PT)

Expected duration: TBC. approx. 6 hours

Expected start time: TBC. Expected to start in the morning PT.

Expected impact:
During the outage, all customers (regardless of platform) will be prevented from using the PlayStation(R)Store (including in-game commerce, PlayStation Plus purchase, and Voucher Redemption), Account Registration, Customer Account Management, and new Device Registration. A maintenance notice will be displayed during the outage. Some content may be unavailable for use if that content requires network authentication before use, some as Video titles from the PlayStation Store.

PS3 and PS Vita Impact Details: During the outage, consumers accessing online games and applications that require authentication who are already logged-in will remain so, and consumers who have signed-in through a PlayStation®3 console, PlayStation Vita, or the Web since ~April 14th should be able to sign-in again. However, these groups of users will have limited access to PSN functionality. All other consumers will be unable to sign-in during the outage.

PS4 Impact Details: In addition to the general impact listed above, during the outage all PS4 customers will be prevented from viewing the “What’s New” service, Live Items, and the Library. "Share" features will also be impacted. However, users who have already bound their PSN account to their device will be able to sign-in and continue to utilize the majority of other platform features including access to online gaming services such as PlayStation Plus validation, matchmaking, ranking, messaging, invitations, access to the PSN Friends List, Trophy system, Parties, and Live from PlayStation. Furthermore, access to Video and Music Applications and the Web Browser will remain possible during the PSN outage as well.

Great heads up about this. Always appreciate the warning for the PSN since they're still keeping mum at times.

Well I use the Crunchyroll app on 360. I prefer the layout for the 360 over Playstation anyways.

does this mean that the vita app can be fixed? having the screen turn off every five minutes (because the app isn't a dedicated video player) is very frustrating.

I did; after one episode it either freezes causing me to close the app or it skips forward much like the xbl app does. :)

the ps3 is hardwired btw, so not a wireless issue.

Drop us an email using the 'Contact Us' form and let's see if we can help. :)

Edit: Actually.... I see you're a Free Member. You need Premium to use the PS3 app... Also need Premiuim to use the Xbox app....
