When are you guys going to fix the PS4 app? It's seriously broken! It starts slowing down to a stutter the longer it's open and the video FF and RW start acting up too. I has to keep shutting down the app after 30 minutes to avoid crashes and major slow downs!

Is this related to WWDC?

Edit: Crunchyroll strips emoji?

Well there's this http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-850575/ps3-app-back-better-than-ever?pg=0, but aside from that, no clue. The gradual memory leak seems to still be an issue on the PS4, but aside from that, and the infrequent puremvc-induced crash (which I am just now finally contacting them about), the PS4 app seems to be a great improvement from the PS3 app to me. Of course, that might all be thanks to the hardware, but it's an improvement nevertheless.

If any issues were due to a memory leak, the substantially greater RAM (8GB vs. 512MB main + 512MB GPU for the PS3) would allow its app to run for far longer.

Precisely. And that seems to be exactly what has been happening so far. Similar (if not identical) issues, with much lower frequency.

Now if the leak and puremvc bug were taken care of, I have yet to see any more in terms of errors on the PS4 client.

that's not really how memory leaks work. Greater RAM actually causes a greater problem for a memory leak as it allows it to more quickly run past the software expected memory sizing and have more issues faster rather than lasting longer. I mean sure if you like watching a slow train wreck rather than a fast one.

I can't speak to the PSN issues bcause I use the Xbox 360 app which works flawlessly (I also have a fast network), but the only time I have ever seen issues was on the higher quality videos it would occasionally slow down a little bit (like big space battles with LOTS of ray effects coming through in HD)

The PS4 app does get gradually worse over time. After only a couple of episodes, the square button no longer works to bring up the series video list. If you just let it play, it can make it through quite a few episodes before getting in a state where it won't play.

I think there is a general network issue in the PS4 OS anyway that may make the issue worse. If you've gone into the 'Live from Playstation' app then the Crunchyroll app seems to have problems sooner than if Cruncyroll is the first(and only) thing launched. (That could be due to less available free memory) But I think there is a problem with TCP/IP sockets not being released if there is an issue with destination site's response. Seen this same sort of thing with the PS3's web browser causing the system to hang because it will wait forever for a page to load.

Lol today is the day and the PSN for PS4 needs ALOT of maintenance since 3/5 times your dashboard could disappear when switching accounts or when on an app like a game or the CR app xp

Thanks for the warning
I hope it works smoothly since it used to run like crap no matter what I tried to watch. It would stop mid stream, or it would skip ahead/back while watching.
I noticed it was running really well Saturday, please, PLEASE don't be worse >_<
