Fairy Tail- It had an OK start but it just became the same thing over and over and over again:
1. FT enemies attack
2. Natsu gives friendship speech
3. Natsu one-shots the villain.
The end.

Watamote- Episode 4. That's why.

Sunday without God- The first 3 episodes were good but it went downhill from there. By episode 7 or 8 I gave up.

Two shows I might drop which I have on hold right now: No Game No Life & Black Bullet. They both had a good first episode but will the quality last? We'll wait and see.

Gantz- Dropped it after the "hilarious" scene where a woman was had just attempted suicide was almost gang raped then was violated by a dog all the while giggling cutely. Frank Miller would have been proud of that series.
Tiger and Bunny-I just lost interest, I may pick it up again.
Psychic Detective Yakumo-boring. The opening theme song was neat though. I honestly remember nothing else about it.
Inuyasha-predictable, annoying, poorly paced....I just didn't like it.

I dropped Madoka Magica after episode 4. I realize a lot of people love the show and it is interesting but it was way to depressing for me to enjoy it. I have been considering going back and finishing it up though.

Oh and I also dropped Jojo after the dog scene.

Don't watch Elfen Lied since you mention the dog scene.

Three I've dropped from those currently running:
1) Blade & Soul Ep. 3 - Main Character was too much of a blank slate, side characters couldn't carry the rest of it for me
2) Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara Ep. 3 - Pacing was on crack, and some of the characters may have been too
3) Nobunaga the Fool Ep. 5 - got bored with it, watched Nobunagun instead.

sword art online, I dropped it at episode 18 or 19. but I will finish it before season 2 airs.

beyond the boundary
gatchaman crowds
hamatora.
wizard barristers
magical warfare

ok what all of these anime have in common is that their characters lack depth. and i'm a person that needs fascinating characters to be able to enjoy a show.

i'll finish all of them some day, just not today Procrastinating, I suppose.

Usually for me I just stopped watching out of no where. Guess either the story didn't speak to me or I got distracted by others (There is about six of this season I need to catch up on because I have been looking at older series lol.)

I drop series with a quickness for the most part. Usually there is a sense within the first episode whether it's something that I want to watch. I'll go two or three episodes if I'm not sure where I stand after the first episode. I hate finishing a series then reflecting on how bad it was, like with SAO, Accel World and Valvrave. At worst, I try to drop a show before it hits double digits. I've been pretty bad this season, as I've been more forgiving of crap. I went 7 episodes in on Irregular at Magic High School, when I should have dropped it 10 minutes into the third episode (explaining the climax of the previous episode for a good chunk of an episode is bad form). I went five or six episodes into Black Bullet before calling it, and I should have dropped that after 3 episodes after the climax from the first mini story arc (that seems to be the form for all light novel-based shows).

I do not drop shows for moral reasons. I am puzzled by people who do so.

I dropped Sword Art Online at episode 20 because I couldn't stand the stupid any more. I thought I could. I couldn't.

What anime have you dropped and for what reason?

The only anime I have ever dropped was Lucky Star and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. The 10 minute discussion about food killed me with boredom in Lucky Star. As for Jojo, 8 minutes in on the 1st episode, a dog was cruelly kicked in the face. I stopped it and read the comments to find out he was also murdered by being burned to death. Animals are more important to people in my opinion and the thought of an animal being abused like that was sick, so I dropped Jojo.

(Could not find a similar thread except for the locked 2012 version of this one)

The reason you had for dropping Jojo sounds... quite silly? I mean, even besides the whole "animals are more important than people" argument which is very questionable imho (people who say that animals are "better" than humans don't really understand animals), it's a fictional boy kicking a fictional dog, and the fictional boy in question is clearly framed as the villain of the situation. It's not like the anime is trying to make it look like kicking dogs is a good thing. In fact, "kicking the dog" is literally an idiom to mean "commit a pointlessly evil act just for the sake of showing that you are a bad guy". Plus it's hardly the most evil thing that Dio has done or will ever do. In fact, by episode two you find out he killed his own father. Then it gets worse. The guy is, to put it simply, a total dickhead.

Iv'e dropped Guilty crown
I realize that it was a great concept , the animations were great
but i could not stand everyone praising and saying that one leader guy was all great. it got anyoing as hell and then i stop after good amount of episodes.
I have also dropped bleach. I couldn't stand the repeating story , Rukia gets captured , Icigo saves her. Orihime gets captured. Icihgo saves her. and finally Nozomi gets captured and that's when i stopped.
There are a few others but i intend to pick those back up eventually.

Dropped Psycho Pass after 10 episode recently, and Magical Warfare.

Dropped Psycho pass because the Akane sort of contradicted herself. She made an impression on her team that she would shoot people to save people ( through nonlethal ) in the first episode. She couldn't even fire the gun that Makishima gave her since the Dominator doesn't work on him. That and the fact that i dislike watching dystopia anime made me drop it. ( my sis insisted me to give it a try )

As for Magical Warfare, just watching the love triangle unfolding between the character somehow sap my will to watch it and i dropped that one.

Is it still doing good? Sounds like it. If so, I'll probably pick it back up again.

I dropped the anime "Seikon no Qwaser" in the beginning of the second season. The plot was getting way too disturbing for me. I also felt like it was very rushed and I never like that feeling in any TV show.
