This is getting stupid and the lack of new information is just another example of how unprofessional CR can be at times.

Kinda sad it took an "Ask Me Anything" with the CEO of CR to even get what info we do have. What are the odds that had that not happened, they wouldn't have told us shit about this situation?

I still find it very strange they could air the first episode before putting the rest on a pause.

(Also, I was the one who asked about it on the AMA!)

Episode 4

They climbed to get an amazing view of Mt. Fuji, and now they must go back down, and poor Aoi isn't quite doing too well with her legs getting all achy. I guess that's a good thing since that trip to the hot springs sounds like a dangerous idea to her. But they made it, and after some embarrassment, Aoi jumps right in. And they get a view of Mt. Fuji in front of the sunset as they head back home. This show just continues to be cute, relaxing, and educational. Aoi has is pretty tough considering that she lacks outdoorsman experience, but she's enjoying herself on this outing.

EP 4 New OP

Got to the Summit and the trip was worth it! Aoi didnt want to climb the cliffs and took the trail. Going down was just as hard as going up! But still on the train Aoi thanked everybody!

Ah it's looking so good, I think I might just have to bite the bullet and watch it elsewhere...

After it being as long as it has, I gave up on watching it on CR. Sad to have to go elsewhere, but it is creeping up on a month soon. I think they have had plenty of time or could have given us another update.

Or they are still in negotiations and confidentiality is part of the requirement to continue... Other series that took a long time to finalize were GJ-Bu (club) and Love Lab. One came in at the 6th episode and the other at the 7th. And Little Busters started in the second season, but then eventually the rights to the first were acquired. As well, Nisemonogatari was the first to appear here with Bakemonogatari coming later, even though it aired first. Each publisher is different, and there are a lot of them...

So it isn't without precedent to not have everything completely worked out in time with every different publisher. For this series, the first season was licensed from Earth Star, who it appears does mostly shorts, but the second apparently is from YTV, who does longer/full length episodes, so just because CR got the first, doesn't mean it's a shoo-in to get the second. And perhaps there are other rights issues to be worked out there even between those two, and CR simply has to wait for that to complete. (all speculation, mind you)

It is unique that the first episode appeared at all though; that's actually encouraging (see what I did there?). For all those other delays we had nothing until they made the announcement... And why would anyone think that any details on something still in negotiations is going to be made public? That would just weaken the bargaining powers of one or the other parties making the deal. If I was running a company like this, I wouldn't make any announcements and take a chance on messing it up before the ink is dry on the contract, either.

You mean like making an site announcement that you picked up an airing show and would be simulcasting it before you actually had the rights to do so beyond one episode? Prior to BD pre-order numbers for that show coming out and maybe being a bit higher than anticipated?

They have released episode 4 already, and yes this site did announce the the second season going so far to release episode one of the second season. Then due to difficulties, like loosing the license rights to broad cast the show stopped, with little word or information about why.

no biggie just hope this dose not become the new normal for shows on CR.

If negotiations actually completely fell through where they definitely will not get the show, then, yes, I would expect to see that in a site news/Anime news announcement, or something in an ANN article at least, But if they are still negotiating and have hopes to still get it eventually, then they aren't going to disclose anything at all, not even that that they are still in negotiations, because doing so could mess it up.
