On the one hand Miku was acting like a spoiled brat, but on the other, she's got a valid point that it's kind of unfair for her and the others to not get their CD debut even though they'd been around longer. Ah well, this world is cruel. Still, it's nice to see that she's so serious about it.

Didn't seem like much else was going on in the episode, but, at least characterization is ramping up.

Ranko reminds me of Yurika from Aikatsu
Anastasia's random Russian words. i wonder what native speakers think about her pronunciation
Shiburin reminds me of a girl from Wake Up Girls. Yoppi, was she called, i think.
i find Kirari's character kinda annoying from first episode and still do.

the names they came up with:

i liked "Triple Stars", but the name by producer wasn't bad either
(edit: even though yes, it's not very creative)
but it can be ironic to have the unit named "New Generation" a few years later, when they're no longer "new"

I was wondering if we have a name for Miku's personality type. She seems similar to Squid girl and Cirno.

Episode 6

It's time for New Generations and Love Laika to debut, and a lot of preparation went into it. Uzuki has trouble during one part of her dancing routine, but she worked at it. And then comes the performance where Anastasia and Minami looked great. The main trio then went on to their performance, but Mio is not feeling too happy about it. She invited so many friends to see her, and she was totally surprised by the atmosphere that she's thinking about quitting. Hopefully the girls can straighten her out seeing that there will be times like these and she's totally dropping the ball on the situation.

Episode 6

Well that was fun except the last part.

Mio wanted every performance to be like their debut? Seriously? She's going to learn to suck it up a bit in the entertainment industry. I think her reaction and wanting to quit being an idol is childish. Hopefully she can get over it soon. Sigh. On a lighter mood, I just love the outfits from the latest episode

Episode 6

This went in unexpected directions.

The first half blew past things that could have been plot points themselves but I'm glad the story didn't stop for things that might have been better avoided for this anime. Though, it was surprising how fast they went through the actual CD recording.
Anyway the New Generations got closer as a group and so did Minami and Anastasia.

The live part is where it throws curve balls.
Love Laika seem to do good and New Generations did good enough..
But Mio does the whole thing with unreasonable expectations and can't handle them.
And just when it looks like the Producer will make things right, it turns out Producer has more growing to do...

I kind of like what they did with this episode but the end was a bit sudden.
I personally thought Love Laika should have gotten a bit more time to reflect on their first live, though.

good eps the last bit were abit harsh thought. Mio-chan has to learn the reaily of an idol just starting out. She set her expectations way too high.. and the producers words at the end didn't help matters either...

Curious to see where they go from here.

Episode 6

I like how this episode felt spot on. Mio thinking that her debut would be the same as Mika's concert but in fact didn't turn out the way she expected. it was childish of her to think that there would be a huge crowd when people don't know of them yet and when she saw her friends instead of being happy that they came she leaves like really be happy that they came to support you. for the next episode they are gonna use it to get mio over the whole debut but I hope it's just that one episode and not waste 2 on it.

A mostly bland ep6 up until the stupid ending, this show was on thin ice for me already and now with that childish "I expect my first mini live to be jam packed with screaming fans for my debut single!" garbage that Mio pulled... "I quit being an idol!" OMG. Please quit! Don't let your ass hit the door on the way out... good riddance... too much to hope for.

Can it just be the Anya show already? Only good thing about it.

Damn Producer, you could have handled that a lot better. Mio definitely got ahead of herself thinking she would already have a fanbase so next episode she will need to learn the harsh reality of making it big in the world of media. I really hope the other characters don't start hating the producer for what he said. His statement was too blunt but that doesn't mean he deserves to be shunned for it. Hopefully they don't go down that route. Looking forward to next weeks episode.

I can tell you one thing, Maki and Nico would never have put up with that shit. Bitch needs to get her head in the game.

Indeed. Compared to LoveLive! or even WUG this just isn't very good. Not sure how long I'll keep watching.

It's nothing even close to LoveLive! that's for certain. I don't think it's too bad but besides from maybe 2 or 3 of the characters the rest are just generic idol clichés that will get absolutely no development. I hate to compare every idol anime to LoveLive! but they really have set the standard when it comes to this genre. If they are capable of developing their entire (and very large cast) of idols then I expect other series to be able to do the same. I'm not even sure why this series has such a large cast, it's obvious that only the two groups already introduced are going to actually get screen time.
