Almost bought a ticket for the Lady Gaga show in Denver with BABYMETAL opening. Don't wanna drive nine hours tho, so I'd have to buy a plane ticket too... still on the fence.
OK, not technically anime, but I only know about it cos it was on Crunchyroll's front page.
And, I mean, BABYMETAL! \</
^--me guessing at the kitsune equivalent of \m/

Dammit....
Not to disparage others' plans (I salute cosplayers! [smile] and those brave enough to chase for full One Piece! [smile smile] and everyone else) but it now feels a little like this thread destination was to get your reply :D

I believe if you drive 9 hours that will make babymetal so much more enjoyable for ya! :D
and if I was to give prizes, that would secure it for you lol (though I'm not - have no prizes [innocent look])

and from me, for one, thanks as I first time hearing about this hmmm.. phenomenon lol. they are cool though hard, I mean it's like playing some grindcore track then stopping in the middle and starting J-Pop track refrain then back and so on. I mean you usually have mood either for one or the other, and I am sure these guys could use all the death metal techniques blending it into the songs so that it would be something homogenous, but they intentionally make parts very different. In doki-doki morning it seems to go along with the song meaning too. But I guess I can train myself to this lol. It's a bit hard to take it right away to the heart, all this post-modernism aesthetic, but at least the mind enjoys it. The concept.

Thank you for the nice reply! Your encouragement was just the push I needed. $108 poorer but I'm gonna see BABYMETAL! \</ And I'm gonna keep using that sign until someone tells me it's wrong. Still haven't bought plane ticket, but I'll figure something out.

$108!!!!?!??!??!? And I bet most of those will go to that Lady Gaga girl, whom you not even going to stay there for anyway!
I don't know what is re-entry policy over there, but if they don't take away ticket / put an erasable seal on the arm, I suggest, when there, find someone seeking for a spare ticket to L.G., and deal with them that you go out after B.M. and hand them your ticket for half price. (More appropriate would be to go out and hand them L.G. herself, then return and tell B.M. they can rock for couple of hours more as the "Gaga problem" was resolved)

And, I guess that's obvious... but I'll have more peace of mind having said that... so: I hope you're of opinion that hijacking airplane to get there would be a little _too_ crazy

Summer means free time.
And free time means I get to watch/rewatch all the anime I've been putting off!
So I've been following my plan:

For now, I'm currently rewatching Seitokai no Ichizon.
I have until tomorrow to finish.

Next is Log Horizon,
which I'm allowing a day and a half for.

After that is KamiNomi,
which will probably take four days.

Then, June 28-30 will be a break.
(I've been going at this since the first day of June.)
During that time,
I'll catch up on all the latest manga releases I've been putting off to watch anime.

Starting July, the pace will quicken to multiple anime at a time.
July 1 will be Nyaruko-san,
July 2 will be Ikamusume,
July 1-8 will be random Gintama episodes,
July 4 will be Kotoura-san,
July 7-11 will be Hayate no Gotoku,
July 8-9 will be Love Lab,
July 9 will be Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun,
July 10 will be Dog Days,
July 11 will be Muroumi-san
July 11-14 will be Tonari no Seki-kun
July 12-13 will be Seto no Hanayome,
July 14-18 will be Toaru Index,
July 14-19 will be Toaru Railgun,
July 20-21 will be Sora no Otoshimono,
July 21-23 will be SAO (just because I didn't like it, doesn't mean I can't rewatch it?)
July 24 will be Oregairu,
July 24-26 will be Oreimo,
July 27 will be Madoka Magica,
July 28 will be Senyuu,
July 28-29 will be Baka to Test
July 29 will be Say I Love You
July 29-30 will be Bake/Nisemonogatari
July 30-31 will be Hyouka,
July 31 will be Non Non Biyori.

And August will be even crazier with several entire series being finished in less than a day.
Of course,
I leave myself time in between episodes/anime to check Baka-Tsuki and spend time here on CR.
And also to start trying to draw and/or write
(which will, of course, take a lot of time and not end well)

...I have my entire summer's anime schedule planned out, so I'll be busy.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I fully intend to stay for Gaga. While I would not consider myself a fan, I do not dislike her. And her penchant for the theatrical seems like it would translate into an enjoyable live performance. And who knows, maybe she'll bring out BABYMETAL and do a song with them at some point. Doubtful, but wouldn't that be wild?
