You could go to a Subway every day and be a man-whore in order to get free sandwiches.

"Hey baby, I got yer pastrami right here. You like meatballs? I got some meatballs for you right here, ooh, yeah baby, I'll even give you my 'signature sauce' ".

Now this might land you in jail, but you know...well, you know, you get free hot meals every day in jail! So what's the worst that can happen if you whore yourself for sandwiches?

Alright this one is a classic in my food staple. :P

1. Cut two slices of bread from a Kings Hawaiian Round bread loaf
2. Butter one side of each slice
3. Grab two slices of sharp cheddar cheese (Usually Kraft) and throw it on to the bread
4. Make sure when you put it in the pan that the butter is touching the pan for your first slice and the other slice of butter is facing you
5. Turn your oven's burner on about a four, not too hot not too cold
6. Periodically check the bottom slice for a golden brown appearance (When this happens flip the sandwich so the reverse slice is on the bottom then repeat periodic checking)
7. Just before the sandwich is finished sprinkle garlic powder on both slices of bread with one more flip for each side to let the garlic cook in.
8. Eat the damn sandwich.

Hello crunchyroll, I'm Alan and as it turns out i'm heading to college soon. This means that before I know it, I'll be moving out of my apartment so I need to learn how to fend for myself. Concern number one is definitely food source. I'm going to die if I can't eat, right? I've always been a poor sheltered boy so I don't do much, but I need to learn how to be middle class some day! I've eaten sandwiches before, but I can't really make one. All previous attempts have led to bad tastes and burning instances. Please help, I'm not an arsonist :(.

I eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day,
Quick, easy, energizing. Sometimes I add honey for health/sugar. If you mess that up there's no hope for you.
As a poor college student I learned that buying and making your own food is a hundred times cheaper than eating out, even if you got to fast food places/stick to dollar menu. So you need to learn to cook and learn fast.
Your basic foods will be:
grilled cheese
macaroni and cheese
or just noodles in general
rice
fried spam
ordering a 'water' at mcdonalds and getting a soda

So in response to the question here's my basic staple sandwich for college life:
Grilled ham and cheese.
Get pan. Put pan on fryer. Turn it somewhere between medium and high.
Let pan warm up a bit. This will take longer if it is a coil oven because coils have to warm.
While waiting gather the ingredients.

Butter.
Bread(2 slices)
cheese(2 slices)
ham or meat of choice(2 slices)

So butter one side of each bread slice. you want to completely cover that one side of bread.

Plop one piece of bread butter side down in the warmed pan, and quickly add a slice of cheese, then your meat, then the other cheese slice.
Wait a bit. Generally this is when I butter the other slice.
Then put the next piece on it, butter side up.

Flip the whole thing over. If you must, use a spatula. I started with a spatula. Then I used a fork. Now I just use my fingers.
This could be tricky. Sometimes it won't all be aligned, or the cheese won't be the right level of melted.

Anyway the crust should be about golden brown in color, unless you want it more/less burnt.
If it's not the way you want it, feel free to flip it again after a bit.

Once both sides are to your satisfaction, remove it from the pan, turn off your fryer and dig in!

Perfect, every single last one of you deserves praise! I'm seriously going to try all of what I've learned on the kitchen! Some of this stuff seem down right gourmet! Others sound interesting and different (In the best possible way), and some of these suggestions seem simple enough for me to try (Most if not all sound delicious)! I'm still open to suggestions, and I apologize for not being able to respond sooner or i'd be replying to y'all individually!
