What are you expecting out of this years E3 game convention? Nintendomination? Microsoft mishaps? Surprises from Sony?

I'm expecting a more hardcore 3DS system to go along with the new Smash game. I expect nothing from the Wii U expect the usually game announcements.

I see Sony announcing a slew of Japanese centric games for PS4. Might even hear something about The Last Gaurdian. Would be a nice send-off for the PS3. I also see Sony going on a localization push to help the Vita keep its head above water. I also see how Sony would like to work in their VR stuff in too. That's where gaming is going, mark my words.

I expect more backpedal moves from Microsoft.

Steam, Oculus stuff might be interesting.

I'm mainly a PlayStation gamer, so I don't really know (or care) about other systems, but I'll hazard a few guesses on the Sony front...

Last Guardian will be announced as a PS4 exclusive, with no date!

Project Beast will also be a PS4 exclusive.

First proper trailer for Uncharted 4.

Bunch of indies for Vita, probably show Project DIVA F 2nd localized, Persona: Dancing All Night and Freedom Wars, but no major surprises.

Guerrilla Games, Media Molecule and Quantic Dream will all be no-shows. We'll see their stuff at Gamescom.

The new Assassin's Creed game will have exclusive content for PS4.

Sony will spend way too much time showing dull Project Morpheus tech demo.

The Witness will be the most intriguing Playstation game in the whole press conference.

Anyway, every year I take along a little friend to E3. Who will it be in 2014???

Hopefully some elaboration on the QoL stuff from Nintendo.

That vitality monitor just fell off the map, but now I hear reports about QoL things in the works at Nintendo.

I also forsee a lot of new IPs for Microsoft and Sony.

I'm thinking as far as predictions for announcements this week (read as "wishful thinking"), I've got a few.

I feel like the big secret that Zelda Williams hinted at will just be Majora's Mask on 3DS and Nintendo will show it being played (maybe by her) for longer than I care to see. I feel like a Metroid on 3DS is possible, but probably just me hoping against hope. Maybe Retro is making one for Wii U? I think a crazy idea might be a co-developed Mega Man game from Nintendo and Capcom (since Capcom seems clueless on their own with the series). I figure a new 3DS model with NFC built into it, among other changes, is also a real possibility. I also feel like, in spite of possible non-gaming related announcements, people will be happiest with Nintendo's showing this year over Sony and Microsoft. I just have that feeling. They have to have big things to show this year.

I think Sony clearly announces Demon's Souls 2 (duh) and its name is still stupid. I think they finally talk about The Last Guardian and it's on PS4. They probably talk about PlayStation Now and it's probably still years off. Maybe a new Heavenly Sword and/or Syphon Filter. Probably lots of indie stuff on PS4 and Vita again. I know there's one thing I'm forgetting. I'll remember later.

Microsoft? I dunno, man. I think they'll suck less this year than they did last year, but that's not real hard to do. I think they'll focus more on indie stuff than they did last year, because they got rocked on that. I think they'll focus more on games in general because of Phil Spencer. I think they'll probably show a new Crackdown game. The Halo HD collection may as well already be announced. I think they'll have an okay show, but I don't expect either Sony or Microsoft to excite me much.

I think EA will clearly be showing Battlefield: Hardline, but I'm expecting Mass Effect, too (and hoping it's not just a new gen repackaging of the original trilogy, though I'm sure that'll be announced regardless).

I wanted to put these here so I can come back later and see how wrong I am. I figure some are obvious, some are not. I'd be happy with just Metroid and Mass Effect, honestly.

I believe we'll get a lot of halo tonight.

i.e we'll get a more detailed trailer for halo 5, maybe the new spartan, maybe the arbiter returns or a further insight into the state of the unsc/covenant post-covenant war.
I want to see actual gameplay build but that might be too soon, we might get lucky.
Then i suspect it'll be for those who can't wait 2015, halo 2 anniversary! Also think we'll get the infamous tag line at the end, "There are those that said this day would never come, what have they to say now?"

I also think we may get a sneak peak at a new halo project, a game that will be part of the saga but not the main game series. We may get more info on the halo specials too, since they are trying to get them on x1 before other media.

I suspect we'll get some surprising new games/ip s for the new gen. I also think we may finally get half life 3/2 ep3 with all the rumours circling at the moment.

Destiny will get more info, maybe a few more of the playstation exclusives. Also think we'll get a rundown of the new challengers for smash bros, which i think will have a exclusive character to each machine i.e 1 for 3ds and 1 for the wiiu. I also think the miis will be playable characters with a unique power like summing every mii you've met.

I'd like to see a halo squad based game like star wars republic commando. I'd love to see a sequel to that, it could even see them change from clone troopers to storm troopers..

I really wish they announce a new oddworld game, i.e the continuation of the story. Though i'd love a teaser for exodus too. Seeing that in hd would be awesome, though if anything, we'll get the 1st few minutes of new & tasty or some gameplay footage.

A lot is wishful thinking & dreams that may never come to be. Yet the best thing is seeing new games or surprise announcements. They are always the best since you don't see them coming.

Always like the hardware reveals, like the 3d tech for ps4. This could be groundbreaking in future games, was impressed with the panel at mcm london on the tech.

The Microsoft conference was not bad. They seemed focused exclusively on western games. Even the game from Platnium looks like its aiming for that audience. It's similar to how Japanese devs are no longer trying to please the fans outside of their country. Stick to your roots and you won't fail.

I would think anything aimed for the japanese audience would be saved up for TGS in the following months because E3 really is western game focused because it's in the west...

All the conferences were pretty good this year, a lot of games to look forward to but I hate when they don't have a solid release date so you might end up seeing it in next years E3 as well, ugh. I am disappointed in Sony not making more AAA games for the vita though, I'm not a big fan of indie games and hope they don't end up simply considering it just an accessory to the PS4.

The Sony conference nearly turned into a steaming pile of crap with a lot of talk of ports, streaming and entertainment. Good thing they announced the Vita TV. The devs will take it from here...
