Well, American muscle is built for more power and torque, while Japanese tuners are built basically for aero and suspension. But you can put lots of power on tuners, and easily tune a muscle car for better turning.
In drifting, muscle cars can powerover like crazy, while most tuners will powerover or ebrake.
In the straightaway, muscle cars tend to own, but there are many tuners who can keep up with muscle.

Basically, it's all about preferences, since both types can do what the other type can.

I like muscle more because quite frankly, they sound much better (and louder, too). My brother's '97 Supra had nothing on the Camaro SS down the street.

Wow... is either car even tuned? If it's stock then it's NOT a street car!! What you talking that many tuners can keep up w/ muscle?? Have you ever race an Rx7 w/ over 1000hp?? i don't think so and i definitely bet that it can beat a muscle car. Yes i do side w/ japanese tuned cars.

Any car can beat another with enough work. Bet you a 2000hp grand national will kill that 1000hp rx-7. I side with imports but I also respect domestics.

The 1k hp RX7 loses to a 1200hp Mustang, which loses to a 1500hp Supra, which loses to that 2k hp grand national (which I have no clue what it is).
It's all about how much money you have.

The Camaro I was talking about would smoke your RX7, btw.

Yes i agree, there's no car that can win against every other car. I didn't say i hate domestics, they got several good cars too but i don't like ppl bashing imports.

First, i never said my rx7 can beat ur camaro (we'll know the outcome after a race), and also if we're talking about the national races, then let's go w/ the 4 rotor rx7 which exceeds 2k hp...

In the end vs threads are stupid and gay unless u list all the modification or info between the two cars.

I'm amazed you used twisties in a serious manner while I was using it with a sarcastic tone.

I've seen muscles get tracked, and compete with imports, and win.
