Hmm, seeing as it's a very very successful manga, I'd say there's going to be another season. I haven't watched the anime, but I love the manga. I know that the anime ended with a filler arc. Can somebody who reads the manga and watched the anime tell me how they got into the filler episodes? Would it still make sense for them to make a new season and get back to the canon story?

Yeah there should be a reboot of Blue Exorcist. I really like the anime, but I love it to be true to the manga. (of course when the manga is done)

With that ending? I would love a remake!

When the manga is finished....if it hasn't already...

I need to refresh myself with this series.

After Rin's battle with Amaimon in the forest, they changed the story quite a bit. I believe the turning point is Episode 17, during Rin's hearing when Amaimon attacks and Rin kills him.

From the way the rest of the episodes progressed and their difference from that of the Manga, I'd say no you couldn't just do a second season of it to continue the Manga plot. Too many changes occurred.

One of my favorite anime is Claymore. Seriously I really want to see it reboot.

I don't like when anime ended. It left me with empty handed.

Forget about Blue Exorcist, Bleach nee to be reboot.

I feel they should go the Fullmetal Alchemist route and wait a few years for the manga to be in its final arc. I mean if they did a reboot now it would still end in filler. So they should wait for more material and make sure that the manga is gonna end before doing anything. Also I'm making a bet. Bleach will get renewed before the English adaptation on Adult Swim ends.

They killed him off? This is reminding me of FMA when they killed off Scar in the first anime. I was going to watch the anime at some point, but if it deviates like this, then I'm not wasting my time with it. Just like I didn't waste my time with the first FMA series, after I read about the changes. Oh well, I guess all we can do is hope for a more faithful reboot.

Amaimon was not technically killed in the anime adaptation. After he was defeated by Rin, he turns into a green hamster for the rest of the series and is usually seen on a hamster wheel in Mephisto's office. I believe he even converses with Mephisto in some of the anime's last few episodes.
