Ive been seeing alot of animes on here lately that are too pukey.
no plot or storyline or cool action scenes, all drama and glittering eyes....... ugh.
ive been wanting to see baky the grappler. gundam, and deadman wonderland, yu yu hakusho, the worlds strongest disciple kenichi etc... on CR forever now....
maybe add a movie section too?

props for shows like bleach, naruto, one piece, beelzebub, rurouni kenshin, hunter x hunter, even fairytale manga was good, have yet to watch the anime, Gintama was great makes me lol alot.

It just seems CR adds alot of generic anime's that dont really rate that high just to fill up some space.

edit: oh and alot of animes that started off pretty cool only have like the first 12 or 15 episodes like the first volume ( example legend of arata and beelzebub) good animes that get cut off too early. not sure if these animes are even available in season 2 etc.. but would sure as hell love to see them continued ( i wont mention attack on titan that was epic but i understand that the anime is fairly new.)

There are good stuff. You just have to look for them

Angel Beats, Toradora, Anohana, 5 Centimeters Per Second, Slam Dunk, etc.

And you know what? I actually like the "no plot or storyline or cool action scenes, all drama and glittering eyes" stuff. I LOVE them

Licensing is the main reason why CR doesn't have some 'Cool Anime'. Most of it is on Funimation.

whats slice of life? i mean i dont see the point in watching anime that just re-enacts everyday normal life, or if a girl grabs a guys hand they just stop and stare at each other with glittery eyes for the next 5 minuts...... i guess there are people on here who do like that kind of stuff, but seriously they have to be the minority...... right?

Here is something for you to think on.

If it was possible, do you think that Crunchyroll would put every Anime ever made on it's site? At that point it would be the go to place for anime, hands down, no questions asked. Every anime lover would sign up and they would make a ton of money.

The problem is always, what can they offer? With what studios do they have contracts with? What is the contract status of each title?

I use to run the forum for Rhapsody Music Service. I was asked all the time "Where is The Beatles Catalog?" or "Why is there only cover bands for Led Zeppelin?" The answer was, we don't have a contract with that studio/band/artist. The place that you should route this question to is the Anime Studio who holds title over the work your looking for. Send them a message that they should offer their titles to Crunchyroll. Anime Studios want money too, if they get enough requests from customers saying that they want to see their content on Cruncyroll, they will offer it.

CR attempts to obtain licenses for every anime that comes out each season, which is why they have a lot of shows your aren't interested in (because a lot of show that come out each season aren't going to be tailored to your tastes).

The last 3 shows you mentioned are all licensed by Funimation. Home video licenses normally trump a streaming-only license, especially if the company in question had that license before CR even went legit (as is the case with those last two titles).

CR actually did have Deadman Wonderland, but as with all Kadokawa titles, one it was licensed by Funimation it was only a matter of time before Kadokawa discontinued CR's license for it:

CR had several Gundam titles at one time before Bandai USA pulled the plug on their operations here. Sunrise licenses some of the older series to Daisuki, but Bandai seems to be content to stream most of them (including anything newer) via their own GundamInfo channel on YouTube.

You probably don't see many movies here because of simple economics. When CR negotiates for a title, there are costs associated with negotiating the contract, plus normally what is called a "minimum guarantee" (a minimum royalty amount). With the former, the cost has to be born by a single "episode", making it more expensive. A licensor is also likely to demand a higher minimum guarantee, simply because movies are more expensive to make.

While you may not like many of the titles here, keep in mind someone is viewing them. While CR's mission is to get every anime each season that is possible, they aren't going to pay more for a title than they think it will return to them financially.
