#YesAllMen was a total joke.

I agree that there are serious sufferages across the board no matter what your race, gender, or orientation. That being said, YES some groups suffer quite a bit more than others. If I go into a predominantly black neighborhood, I'll likely get picked out of a crowd & be harassed for being a white girl. I still have SO MUCH MORE privilege over that group than I have been oppressed.

So yeah, #yesallmen can whine about how they 'have to' pay for dates (which, by the way, many women don't believe or enforce), but men are NOT some seriously oppressed group that need to be coddled.

It was especially disgusting to see this hashtag full of white, straight men. Straight white men are literally the top of the pyramid. So boo-hoo, you had to open the car door to impress a girl or buy her dinner before she even considered going home with you.

Try spending every day being oppressed for your gender & being treated as a lesser species & then come talk to me.

HEY ! I'll let you know it was a 500 dollars dinner

No i'm just kidding, i agree with a bit of what you said, i don't think women in general are treated as a lesser specie, that's a bit of exaggeration, in my opinion, people love to take sides, use fancy hashtags, defend their respective gender/race/sexuality/nationality etc .. but i think we all miss the big picture which is assholes, i don't think it's about women being treated unfairly by society or men being treated unfairly by society as well, it's all about asshole people, we should be focusing on what makes a person a bigoted asshole that thinks women are a lesser specie, or a woman that fucks men over and run away with their money, or a person that hates someone for the simple fact of their skin color or because they were born in a different patch of dirt in this planet, some people just had shitty childhoods, some had shitty parenting, some are just following their belief system, whatever it is the case, we should be focusing on that, not silly genre disputes on who gets the worst deal of cards in life.

Amen amen couldn't have said it better myself! And not to mention this hashtag was the direct affront to the #YesAllWomen discussion that was meant to be a safe space for women to openly discuss our experiences with sexual harassment and assault in the wake of a violent misogynistic hate crime so not only is #YesAllMen a joke but it's also disrespectful and perpetuates all kinds of oppression.

#Yes anything doesn't lend itself to being very accurate. It's just one giant stereotype grouped on a subset of individuals.

God, I have to pay for dinner when I take women on dates, and I hold the door and everything and sometimes she won't even sleep with me! Sometimes I'm even nice to them and they won't sleep with me! All they worry about is whether I'm some psychopath who's going to assault them, men have it so tough!!!

/sarcasm.

I'm sorry, but in what reality discussing about a personal issue such as being sexually assaulted, openly on twitter while using a trending hashtag considered a safe space ? I thought it was pretty obvious for everyone that uses the internet that if you publicly state anything, especially on a social media, you're open to be fired at by anyone on the planet, i think it's the same issue i said earlier, you should be focusing on people's mental health and why they commit atrocious acts such as murder and rape, instead of having genre battles on twitter,

Is there a ‪#‎YesAllMen‬ trend going around to discuss male issues and double standards in society? If there is, I would very much like to show my support for it.

Same goes for #YesAllLGBT #YesAll*insert gender, race, class, nationality, religion, whathaveyou*

Because I would very much like to find proof that there are other genders, "races," religions, and classes of people who also have issues that must be discussed and resolved.

We see eye to eye on this one (I think). The kid was obviously deranged, calling himself a god and the perfect gentlemen would say he was excessively narcissistic, obviously to the point of being dangerous.

Then not limiting his hatred to women, but saying he wanted to kill off the entire race and turn them into a mountain of skulls or something along those lines. There was something off in the kids head, being a virgin was a just a reason to justify what he did (not that you can justify it, but you get the idea).

Furthermore, if the issue was really about being a virgin, why not just go buy a hooker. He was rich in California, I can't imagine it to be that hard to find someone that'll sleep with you, even if you have to pay for it.

You are aware that the guy hated the entire human race right, and that his killing spree was far deeper than hating women.

I don't expect this to not come off confrontational, and I apologize in advance, and correct me if I'm wrong, but would you feel the same if the shoe was on the other foot? Let's say it was men talking about all the times they were sexually harassed, and they feel the comfort of making a hashtag out of it because it's not approved by guy code to complain to your friends about it. You know, a guy should appreciate the attention a women is giving him, and since he's so much stronger and wouldn't ever be raped by a woman, he has no right to complain about such nonsense (regardless of the frequency, we all know that while probably more rare it does happen). Or would you disapprove of it because it's making light of women's struggles?

I would still probably not care for it if it was done on a random Tuesday when no tragedy happened, but I find it less than appealing that someone has actually turned this guy's hatred for the human race into a "misogynistic hate crime" to promote their ideals.

#YesAllMonsters is still cool, right?

I mean, seriously. Us monsters have more issues than all you people. People are always trying to kill us or steal our things, or chop up our bodies for new equipment or potions. Plus, people are so racist against us. We're not all bad. Except for me. I'm horrible.

Support #YesAllMonsters! Or I'll make you regret it.

I was going to respond to the quote as well, but I think you have said it better than I can - good on you sir!

However, I find the argument of "privilege" to be quite interesting especially when used in racial conversations. I am a white male who lived broke throughout his whole life - I have never felt like I was privileged in anyway, shape, or form. Where's my damn boat!!!

Thanks, i appreciate the compliment coming from a smart guy, and yeah, people love using generic statements like that while male one because they can shift it into 1000 different " no, i meant that " , and your boat awaits with your country club membership, your boring hobbies and your pesky kids that won't eat their vegetables, the problems we white men have

Not to mention whenever you guys get a little bit of help from baby jesus amongst all your suffering, people already jump on you and come with their xenophobic statements " Please nerf them in the next patch" " Too OP"

How about #NotAllMen or #NotAllWomen? I think it's wrong to make generalizations about large groups of people, especially when that group covers roughly half the population.

Thanks, but you're right if I was part of that 1% I'd probably go insane. I like my weirdness right were I am

I agree with you fully. Too many people now a days attempt to make and use huge generalizations in order to get their point across or to fire others up in the name of "something" not everyone fits in the same boat nor even wants to be labeled.
