I'm surprised so many people actually like Chinese food. I think the only thing that's worth eating in Chinese cuisine is dim sum or peking duck. Everything else seems outrageously plain or bland.

The only "Chinese" food I've eaten was the American version. I never had the authentic Chinese food.

Americanized, or so called "fake" Chinese food was introduced by Chinese immigrants moving to the west, probably to suit the taste to general western people. There is heavy notion that Americanized Chinese food was the result of American culture warping Chinese cuisine, when really it was created by the same people. enjoy your chinese food ;)

Thanks. I wouldn't mind going to China to eat their meal. I'll use that as just another excuse to get out and about.

Hummmmm.... most Ukraine, Russian and German food isn't really foreign for me, most of my relatives came from there two or three generations ago.... I can cook a lot of the stuff. I think there's some ethnic Yiddish stuff in there too. Right now I'm working on a great kettle of Borscht...

Most of the foods that I would consider foreign that I eat kind of regularly are Mexican and Japanese.
Got a great Mexican restaurant near by that sells real Mexican along with the Tex-Mex... ( The camaron burrito is awesome.)

There's a great Sushi bar a bout three blocks away... Most of the guys making the sushi are Mexican but it's really good.... A bunch of it is Americanized but that's to be expected.

The only Italian food is Olive Garden and that's kind of Americanized too... But they are pretty good around here...

I'll get a "wild hair" and build a lasagna now and then.... Most everything I cook people seem to like it. THAT'S IF I share...

I love spicy food! My favorite cuisines would either be Korean or Thai food. So many flavors and spices~
I'm a pretty fair cook (at least I think so), however I don't normally cook for my family, only when there's a recipe I really want to try. The last "foreign" food I had was sancocho a few days ago, a Panamanian soup (well not just Panamanian, more like Latin-American) with chicken, cilantro, yuca, and other stuffs. It tastes pretty good, and cilantro is one of my favorite ingredients.

Italian is my overall favorite, though that's after serious contemplation. I'm a foody, so it's somewhat troublesome to narrow my preferences down. I love tomatoes, seafood, pasta, cheeses, spices, fresh herbs, onions, garlics, potatoes, and other assorted vegetables and meats. Italian aligns most with my leanings.

Yes, I'm considered a good cook.

My last foreign meal is a large batch of Chinese/Japanese/American fried rice that I whipped up yesterday: Chinese soy sauce and Five Spice, Japanese mitarashi sauce (I followed a recipe), dried and chopped cayenne, six scrambled eggs, diced yellow onions and carrots, baby portabello mushrooms, applewood-spiced and diced venison steak, and long grain rice.

Well, it's not completely foreign, but I'm not sure what else to call it.

Italian. Oh my gosh, Italian.

Next up is Mexican, Southern Food, Indian, Japanese.

Then French, Thai, classic American junk food, German, Seafood, global comfort food...

I am very open to trying new things. I love pretty much all foreign food. Only continent I didn't like food from was Africa - (excluding the Middle Eastern cooking influence).

Indian food is the number one favorite food in the UK, and its becoming more and more popular everywhere and I can see why. It truly is delicious omg, vegetarian or not; spicy or not. And they've got all those killer drinks and desserts as well. Actually my favorite out of all the Asian countries. Next would be Japanese in terms of Asian cooking.

I'm not that great of a cook. I'm somewhere in the middle. No modest. Analytical. I can make spaghetti or grill a steak or something. It'll taste alright. Last 'foreign' meal I've had was probably Mexican last Friday.

I love a lot of Asian food. Like Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and some Vietnamese. Not the Amercanized crap. Actually, Amercanized Chinese food is pretty good.
