Unless you're taking pride in doing something that hurts people, I don't see why not.

I think.

Maybe?

For me, pride is when you acknowledge your own greatness, not fawn over it, acknowledge it. When you constantly jerk off over how awesome you are (excuse my crudeness) that's arrogance. What I can't stand the most are douchey humble brags. It's arrogance in passive aggressive form.

ones feeling doesn't translate to reality and one does

yes, there's something wrong if others think it's stupid and unnecessary.

The key difference is acknowledging that you are not infallible.

Myself, I am confident that when healthy I can beat any OL while on a pass rush but acknowledging that I too WILL be beat at times, even spectacularly so. (getting pancaked)

Usually, Pride and Arrogance really go hand in hand. I say this because usually people with a large amount of Pride are arrogant. This, however, is because people with large amounts of Pride usually talk about how great they are and flaunt it, leading to Arrogance.

So really, the difference between Pride and Arrogance really comes from how much you show. Having Pride is to be proud of yourself. To have Pride in oneself doesn't mean you have to speak out loud about it or flaunt it. It can merely be shown by how you carry yourself or simply how you think about yourself.

Arrogance, on the other hand, is something that branches off of Pride. It comes from showing just how proud you are of yourself and overstating it to everyone. So Pride eventually leads to Arrogance, but they aren't absolutely the same thing. That's how I believe it to be anyways.

And to the bonus question, not it's not wrong to be proud of what you do, but it is wrong to be overly proud because it leads to Arrogance. Thus is probably why Pride is a Deadly Sin(Had to put this in somehow).

For pride, you know you did good, but also acknowledge your limits. Arrogance is you ignore that you're not the top of the world and act on it.

I think Pride exists within. Arrogance, is more where You're trying to get others to notice through more aggressive means.

IMO: I feel like pride is positive, yet consuming because you might get caught up in it. "Your possessions will possess you" and all the sort of stuff.

And arrogance would be you're trying to draw attention to yourself, perhaps using pride, so that people would be impressed.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud at what you do. Unless it involves genocide and hurting people in any way, shape or form.

Pride is a positive trait; to an extent. Arrogance is pride when it goes too far.

Being proud of yourself, or something you do or take part in, because you have love for yourself and self-acceptance, is one thing...having a pride based in vanity, where your ego is inflated and you think of yourself as better than so many other people because of reason 'x' and reason 'y' and so forth, is another thing.

Let's see... wrath, avarice, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.

Arrogance must be better than pride. At least it's not on the deadly list.

Well, you know what is meant by pride in the seven deadly sins, right? I figure I should ask since a lot of people not familiar/not too familiar with the religion don't understand what is meant by 'pride'.

I'm sure you'd only have to dig around a bit on wikipedia to get a decent understanding of it, but basically, this pride mentioned in this part of the bible is talking about people feeling like they don't need the help and grace of God, and that they can be very good, morally, and even reach Heaven, without turning to God and without obeying what he wishes of us.

on a positive aspect:
Pride is knowing your strengths in something and acknowledging it as part of your identity
in a positive light, pride causes people to strive to perfect their craft, and boast about high up they have climbed the mountain while still pushing forward
Arrogance is the belief that you are the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be
in a positive light, arrogance causes people to lose their seriousness, often believing they have achieved perfection, when anyone who has strived for something knows that perfection is impossible

On a negative aspect:
Pride is like suicide, the only thing that kills you is yourself.
people who are in need refuse help, or people implode when something does not fall in their favor or if their hard work does not pay off immediately
Arrogance is like Homicide, it causes the people around you to go out of their way to kill you.
People refuse defeat, often pinning it on someone else, or resort to cheating or rage when they are defeated by someone who is better.

In the nutshell:
Pride causes people to want to see you fail, Arrogance causes people to stomp you down.
