i have cox also,

Did you know sometime in later 2014 our speeds will double. Premier will be going up to 100 Mbps and preferred will rise to 50 Mbps. this is due to cox starting a 1Gbps fiber optic plan (finally), but only in certain cities and expanding to all their customers by 2016.

local telco reselling a Spirit Telecom connection.

best fiber option they have at $100/mo. I'm seriously considering adding another line just for the additional upload.

Where I live we're landlocked. Nobody can get any other providers except for Dish or DirectTV. We have a limit of 300GB use a month at most.

Wish it was faster, but it's decent.

Depends on where you live. I am on the Kansas side (Argentine), and I have been enjoying Google Fiber for months. Mine is only 5Mb tho, cos I'm poor. ($25/mo first year, free for the next six years plan)

Sometimes, pretty solid Charter.

Most of the time, my modem might as well be a toaster...

Yeah, it looks like Google plans to bring it to some of the areas of NC around the colleges and the Research Triangle. I'm up near the NC/Va line but I would seriously consider moving if/when they do.
