Yeah, I dunno why Olathe is being so lame about Google Fiber. I think Google said they'd try again in 2-3 years? Or maybe that was Overland Park. Anyways, I know a fairly avid online gamer in Olathe, and he uses att uverse. So that might work for you? I hear they have bandwidth caps, but he says he's never had any problems.

My Upload is usually around 15 and my ping is usually a little better

Oh and I have Bright House, Timer Warner is just the parent company (Plus Time Warners individual service sucks) But bright house has great service, and of course no bandwidth limit. Why would you even pay for internet if your limited?

I heard from someone that kansas has a law limiting fiber optic here's an article not sure how true it may be though but I've been hearing from a network admins at work and the instructors at centriq

Mine's Time Warner. But hey, I get 54 or so MBPS download and an even Higher upload amount, so I'm not complaining one bit. Now if I could only get some more RAM for My CPU...I might have to download Google Ultron...

There's always bureaucracy, isn't there?
Regardless, Google Fiber is available in much of Wyandotte county, and continues to move forward. Their policy has always been to wire up Fiberhoods in the order of "who wants it most", which unfortunately ends up including what the politicians want, not just the residents.
It looks like they still show Olathe as being scheduled for "2014" tho. https://fiber.google.com/cities/kansascity/#zone=Johnson+County&fiberhood=
I wouldn't hold my breath tho. Doesn't look like they are even taking sign-ups yet, and for me it was I think about six months after sign-up that I finally got installed.

Optimum Online. I've had many technical issues with them in the past but with the way Net Neutrality is going, Optimum appears to be one of the few who seem to support it.

When Netflix does their ISP Speed Index (http://ispspeedindex.netflix.com) Optimum is constantly at the top in the US and Netflix has said that

Some major ISPs, like Cablevision, already practice strong net neutrality and for their broadband subscribers, the quality of Netflix and other streaming services is outstanding.
Source: http://blog.netflix.com/2014/03/internet-tolls-and-case-for-strong-net.html. I can attest to Netflix's claims. I almost never have to buffer streaming videos from Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll or iTunes.

In addition whenever there is a new "TV Anywhere" service like HBO GO or WatchESPN, Optimum is always on the list of cable providers that supports it. I love watching multiple sporting events at the same time using these services, though the current speed prevents me from watching more than 2 or 3.

i have cox also,

Did you know sometime in later 2014 our speeds will double. Premier will be going up to 100 Mbps and preferred will rise to 50 Mbps. this is due to cox starting a 1Gbps fiber optic plan (finally), but only in certain cities and expanding to all their customers by 2016.

ooooo nice! i didnt know that xD thats awesome
