Bone Thugs
KRS ONE
Tupac
Public Enemy
Beastie Boys
The Pharcyde
GANG STARR
Wu Tang Clan
Eminem

Pretty much all the old good stuff.
None of the trash that plays today. Id give a few points to ASAP Mob, but everything else is garbage.

Scarface

Biggie Smalls

Too Short

Big Krit

Starlito

Eric B. and Rakim

Sugar Hill Gang

I really can't stand rappers like Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj or Iggy Azalea they make rap look bad and I wish people would understand sometimes you have to dig deep to find gems and they are like the dirt at the top and there are rappers out there who don't spew non-sense and are educated.

Come on man there are great rappers out today. Id place Kendrick up there among the greats and Danny Brown is amazing. Run the Jewels are killing it too.

Iam also going to add;
Onyx
Brotha Lynch hung
Dj Quik

Personally the only new young good rapper is kendrick but most the hip hop i listen to are rappers i grew up with/from the old school , pushing or over 40.
Best youger rapper i can think of is "Roscoe" (Kurupts youger brother).
Um , Goldie Loc but he aint that young no more.

Its a shame all the ledgends kids arent so great. Snoops sons, Quiks son, Eazy's son, Ice cubes sons, Dre's son, etc not that hot.
I hate most young new rappers that i hear but i haven't looked into alot of them enough to say they suck i guess.
But they all seem to have simple lyrics and boring flow and all use shitty beats but maybe iam just stuck in the 90's?

Having said that though, Snoops new alsum is fly as fuck! its more like a 70's funk album than hip hop though.

cannot stop listening to Japanese Hip Hop Group Scha Dara Parr lately.. it's the perfect season for it too.

I kinda fell out of touch with hip hop, but I still continually listen to DJ Krush too. I prefer a jazzy underground sound to hip hop .. I can't stand the production on most of the commonly mentioned American artists.. just sounds like it's completely declined to sound cheap..

ahh and I recently remembered Genelec & Memphis Reigns too, and some of the related projects like Mind Mechanics .. very intelligent guys

I respect what Kendrick Lamar did on To pimp a Butterfly he used elements that either influenced or put rap on the map I also love how he gave a nod to old school music by having people like Ronald Isley and George Clinton.

If you guys haven't listened to him, check out Robb Bank$. His first album calenders is amazing. He incorporates some anime references in his raps which is cool. Its cool when your able to get a reference that most people don't.
here's some of his music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzSIk-LqFhk and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCKNf9-eMxI I know in these two there is some DBZ and Naurto references and some other animes that i haven't watched yet.

Hes finally good again (he was never bad but his beats were). He had a dry spell which was sad but his first two albums are still among my favorites. Hes the second rapper I got into.
