I know what you're talking about. There are days that I feel so good and positive, like I can do anything. Then other days I can get really down, I stay in bed all day and I cannot face the world. Nothing in my life seems positive. There are times when I haven't gone to work due to this. I used to wonder if I was bipolar too. But I don't think this alone makes us bipolar.
By now I know that if I'm having one of those bad days I just have to wait it out. Usually the next day I'll be feeling normal again. I hope knowing this doesn't only happens to you makes you feel a little better.

Yeah, I normally do. As they say, "life's a rollercoaster filled with ups and downs."

Yes, I can be moody and a sensitive person, but I also feel a lot of empathy and so I tend to get compassion fatigue..and just need to isolate myself, till I am recovered.

I see what you mean there. I'm like that too. When positive things come, I slowly come out of my shell. Negativity is a different story. So I'm not gonna go any deeper. lol.

Were you taking any medication prior to either situation you described (feeling like you can take on the world vs. feeling you want to stay inside and away from others)? I ask this because the feeling like you can take on the world is pretty common when you take medication such as pain killers or muscle relaxers.
