For as much as I love mecha ... I couldn't get through all of Eureka Seven. I don't know why but something didn't sit well with me throughout the show.

Same goes for Tengen Toppen Guran Lagann ... I couldn't STAND that show. Watched the first three episodes then gave up, tried again, made it to episode five then just gave up forever (flame suit on!)

Seeing that there was a second series of Eureka Seven (I think?) I was considering revisiting it, but I can't get past like, episode 10. Don't know why.

I made it to the end of You Wreck A 7, thought it was average at best.

I love mecha too, what were some of the mecha ones you liked? (BTW: I agree too on TTGL)

It was alright, I enjoyed Eureka's character. I watched it on Adult Swim so the episodes were kind of jumbled, but I still got what was going on.

I thought it was solid. Not great, but the characters went through a lot and developed/learned. The mecha were kinda neat too.

Well, let's see ... (in no particular order)

Huge Macross / Robotech fan (seriously, huge)
Gundam series (0083 Stardust Memory and 08th MS Team are the best, IMO)
Metal Armor Dragonar
Muv-Luv Total Eclipse
The Big O
Neon Genesis Evangelion
The Vision of Escaflowne
Full Metal Panic! (though, not as serious as some of the others, a little comedy now and then isn't bad)
Metal Skin Panic - MADOX 01 (super excellent show)
Broken Blade
Gasaraki
Knights of Sidonia (quite excellent, once you get past the weird animation, and currently has one of the best anime opening songs period)
Majestic Prince (aka Ginga Kikōtai Majestic Prince)
MD Geist

While some of those are relative light; I prefer the 'heavier' mecha anime.

What about you; do you have any particular favorites?

I loved it ;____; Although I'm biased because it was one of the first animes that really peaked my interest into everything

Well I am a seriously huge Macross fan (Hate Robotech and Harmony Gold for keeping Macross out of the US forcing me to go to less than reputable places to watch)
Muv-Luv Total Eclipse
The Big O
Go Lion!
Full Metal Panic!
Infinite Stratos
Linebarrels of Iron
AKB0048 (Mecha not primary focus, but still there)

I completely agree regarding Harmony Gold; thinking about them makes my blood boil ...

I could have sworn that I saw an article somewhere (either Funimation, The Anime News Network, or one of the other large Anime publications) that Macross Frontier could be heading to the States, which, if true could be a good thing depending on who the publishers are.

I know that Go Lion! is the 'real' Voltron (more like, Voltron murdered Go Lion! to 'appeal' to Western audiences) and that fact has always kept me away from watching it (I still vividly remember the cartoon from when I was a child; needless to say I like Centurions and Silverhawks far more). Perhaps I should revisit Go Lion! to give it another chance.

I enjoyed Infinite Stratos up until the Second Season which I don't think was near as strong as the first. Linebarrels of Iron I think is a very underrated show

I never could finish an episode. This anime moved so slow it was close to watching paint dry.

It's decent. It starts off painfully slow during the first half. Renton and Eureka are pretty bland characters, but the supporting cast are awesome. The art is nicely drawn, but I really hated the color scheme. The plot was good at times, but sometimes was too far out. . It's kind of interesting, because Xam'd improves most of the faults with Eureka 7.
