Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Normandy invasion 70 years ago. Here we share a little portion of our thanks and respect for those who fought and died in such a historic event, be it pictures, stories, or even a little comment of appreciation and remembrance.

Here is my share, a video from a History Channel series ( while it was still good) called WW2 in HD

What a day, what a day.

Thank you to all the veterans living or passed on from all the countries who fought against the Axis powers for freedom; for all the veterans who took up their weapons for those who had none; for all those who raised their voices for those that were silenced.

how many agree with me when i say this.....

the world was screwed, it didn't even matter who won the war, the world was screwed!

If Germany won they would be like Britannia from Code Geass they would own a third of the world or at least all of Europe

and on the other side like this reality...

WE won but what happened from it, oh!!! we got missiles that can desolate the world in matter of mere milliseconds!!!!

BTW: i don't mean that in//to disrespect or make anyone mad!

Let's hope that people won't forget history, don't want Wolfenstein to become real, do we?
This shall never happen again.

War is Hell
( paraphrased for M*A*S*H)
RULE #1: People die
RULE #2: You can't change Rule #1

Those men fought and died for what they though was right, I am truly thankful for their sacrifice, for without them the world would be a different place than what it is today.

I salute you veterans of wars Past, Present, and Future, thank you for your service

Hear, hear. Lets Us hope...It sure won't be easy, but it must be a "together" sort-of effort. <3

"You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have
striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The
hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on
other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war
machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of
Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well
equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of
1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats,
in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their
strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home
Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions
of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to
Victory!

I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in
battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great
and noble undertaking."

-Gen Dwight D. Eisenhower

To my brothers in arms that came before me, hooah!
