Have you ever felt there was an anime series that you thought it didn't need a season 2 or 3?

Agreed, they cut out about forty chapters in between season 2 and 3 which made the season 3 story an absolute mess. The manga was good as a whole and had a great ending but the maneuver they pulled there made it seem like they were desperate.

I mean they just practically threw the goddesses in there and I'm sure took many people off guard with it. Especially with the 10 seconds of flashbacks they thought would resolve the 40+ missing chapters -_-

I kind of think FLCL got the second season it deserved in Kill La Kill. Wouldn't surprise me if those two shows happened in the same universe, either. (Scissor blade versus chainsaw guitar, anyone?)

HELLZ YEAH! Awesome way to think, Broski!

Aside that, is there a series you feel doesn't deserve a second season? List an anime series.

Anime that have already gotten a second season that weren't that great were Infinite Stratos 2 and I have a strong opinion towards Rosario and Vampire since the manga was really good and they just butchered the whole series. But don't get me wrong, I wanted IS season 2 and I still want a season 3, I just hope it isn't as bad as season 2. Also, if they did a second season of Nisekoi RIGHT NOW, It wouldn't be that great in my own opinion but that could conflict with others since I don't think the source material is all there yet.

That's really interesting, because I came up with a theory that the Imaishi-directed Gainax anime and Kill la Kill are part of the same continuity.

It starts with Kill la Kill which I think takes place in the 70s or 80s (despite Inumuta's technology). Then the next would be FLCL, which I think takes place in the 90s or early 2000's. Then later, Panty and Stocking with Garter Belt would occur sometime around 2010. And then, after an unspecified amount of time, the Spiral King flees to earth and sets up the events that would lead to Gurren Lagann. Then Spiral Decay happens and we get Dead Leaves.

I also don't think Angel Beats needs a second season. I know lots of people were disappointed by its length, but I was very much satisfied with it.

Hinagiku's flag was just shattered after season 2 -_-
And the new art style. I didn't like it.

Death Note is the main one I think about when this question comes up.

It could've ended perfectly with either L or Light winning. The whole show became about how L and Light tried to outwit each other in trying to advocate their own ideals.

Psycho-Pass season 2 also has me a little worried. It felt like it had a satisfying ending, but I will trust Urobuchi with any direction he takes the show in as he hasn't left me disappointed about any of his work.
