So ever since their supposed "bug fix update" or 9.0.5 update. I have been able to use crunchyroll what so ever on my android galaxy.
I have seen a few others asking for help, but crunchyroll admins have made us fall on deaf ears.
So what I am asking the GENERAL discussion. Are any of you having this problem? If so have you found a way to fix it?
I've tried just about everything, and honestly wish I never updated the application.

What problem are you having?

Edit: I also own a Samsung Galaxy device and just now updated my application to the latest version as of 06/08/2014 at 2:15 AM.

Videos are working fine for me before and after update, if you state your problem with the application I may be able to assist you.

Whenever I try to watch any video, regardless of old or new. I get an error messaging saying..

"There was a problem loading the episode. Please try again, or contact support if the problem persists"

So I went through there "troubleshooting" And nothing worked. Contacted customer service, nothing.
Searched the forums to see if anyone found a cure for this problem. And nothing.

I've tried everything from uninstalling and re-installing the app. Clearing caches. Logging in and out. Everything.

I don't understand why CR cant even straight up tell myself, or the forums that they are having the problem. I mean shouldn't us, the subscribers have some sort of truth told, isn't that fair?

Try this:
1. On the main screen click Log Out.
2. Settings --> More --> Application manager --> Crunchyroll --> Clear data --> Force stop
3. Open up Crunchyroll application.
4. Login and test any video.

Let me know how that works for you.

I am up-voting you regardless for trying to help. Thank you.

Yeah nothing seems to be working, not even with the steps you gave me, thank you regardless though. :)

...Since you just recently updated it, maybe I should completely uninstall and re-install again and hope for the best? :x

Hmm. By Samsung Galaxy you mean Samsung Galaxy S4 or S5 I assume? You could try uninstall then restart your device and then reinstall fresh to make sure. Sorry I couldn't be of more help that problem happened to me before and it was some strange issue with my phone not registering that it has access to watch videos. Did you try to watch a episode that came out say a week ago? For example, if you're trying to watch episode 10 of some show try clicking on episode 8 or 9 to see if you get same message.

Also, if you're watching via WiFi try closing your WiFi connection and watching via 4G. Same message appear? If so, try logging out reconnecting to WiFi and log back in and test video once more.

I tried everything you said. And nothing. I honestly don't know what else to do at this point. It must be the application itself, and no. I am using the s2 galaxy..

I'm sorry you're so frustrated by this, but General Discussion is not the appropriate forum, so I've moved this over to the Android forum.

When did you contact support? it can sometimes take a couple of business days for a personal response. Be sure to check your spam folder in case a reply got misdirected there.

No help to you granted, but it works fine, on my galaxy tab 3. Bit of a pain I know, but if nothing else works, you could reset the device to it's original factory settings, that may sort it.

This doesn't directly address your specific problem, but here's how I got videos to work using the Dolphin browser instead of the app. All the same resolution choices work, too (if you have the bandwith), because it's the same as watching on a PC...
