Hey guys. was just wanting to know what communities thought was on real tattoo's based on anime's. Personally i love tattoo's and have a few generic ones. I plan on getting a sleeve incorporating a mix of characters from Evangelion and Fate Stay / Fate Zero. Was also going to get Rin Tohsaka's command spell symbol tattoo on my hand.

Anyone have opinions on tattoo's in general? Is it lame to get anime based tattoo's? is it cool? If you have any yourself, are you happy with them?

Cheers!

First I must say that the avi your using mmm sexy. No, but on a honest note I am not one to put ink upon my flesh, though others are welcome to mark themselves as they please imo. Please make sure the Tat looks bad ass for it will be on you forever.

I have the lotus from Nana on my left shoulder and the Empire symbol from Star Wars The Old Republic on my right. I got them done in Oceanside at Body Temple, if you ever go there ask for Garrett, he's the best. X3

I am VERY happy with my tattoos. My mom freaked out and said I couldn't come home ever, but I'm her oldest so she quickly took it back. My dad didn't want me to get a fictional tattoo(not knowing the lotus was anime inspired), but immediately after getting my star wars tattoo I walk outside with the saran wrap still on and this dude freaks out because he loves star wars. So I was totally validated.

Do what you want with your body, and your money. Think about it first, of course, and do lots of research on where you go. Body Temple was very clean and had sharps disposal boxes and sterilized everything. I had wanted these for three years before I went out and got them.

It hurts a lot more to remove tattoos(and is way more expensive) than it is to get them!

Who cares what anyone thinks? Your tattoos are for you. If it's something you're passionate about, or something you really enjoy, and you feel like getting a tat of it, do it. My only fandom tattoo is "Mischief Managed," but I wouldn't mind more. I do agree with the quality of the actual tattoo being important. I've only gotten two tats state-side and I wish I hadn't, or I should say, I wish I'd looked into where I was getting them done more. The ones I got in Okinawa are of way better quality.

That's awesome, I really like that idea. XD Oki? Are you military? I'm in Yokosuka right now.

The ex is >.< But I got to enjoy 3 years in Oki honestly though, I got most of my tats there, at a bar across the street from the Camp Foster main gate by a man named Yasu... best experience and tats ever! I got all my piercings at the place next door to the bar, by a guy named Ozzy. Definitely recommend either to anyone in Oki!

I wouldn't get a tattoo myself, but if you want one then go ahead. If anything I appreciate your dedication to showing your love of anime. Just make sure you absolutely want them and aren't going to regret it later down the line.

Too many Anime based tattoos are facial or hand tattoos. Two places I personally will never get a tattoo. But i'm not going to say anything about someone choosing at least tattoos on their hands, if you are getting one on your face... make sure you have a secure job that is probably something YOU started... cause you probably wont last long otherwise.

I have a tattoo based on a symbol of a phoenix. Personal memory of an old friend pretty much. I want to get more tattoos and the next honestly will probably be a Fairy Tail tattoo. Either a black one in the same place as Gildarts or a blue one same place as Gray (both on the chest just different side).

That is about it though for Anime based tattoos I can think of that I wouldn't mind getting. All other tattoo ideas are because of my heritage mostly... like Celtic knots, symbols based on something about me or my past, stuff like that.

I think that any tattoo can look great as long as it's done right and the idea of the command spell tattoo sounds great. Just make sure you know the design for the tattoo though.

I got a curse mark tattoo. Get something that you like. my next tattoo will probably be a Alice in wonder land most likely be a half a sleeve. Its going be more bases on American Mcgee's Alice because I like the darker Alice. I been a big fan of Alice in wonder land since I was a kid so yeah.

Hakuna mutata will be my first tattoo, you should just do whatever you feel like. Get an anime tattoo, get a tribal tattoo, get a generic tattoo, don't get a tattoo, it's all up to you and how you really feel about it. Tbh though I would give it a solid month or so of consideration, your tattoo will either be there forever or else will be expensive and potentially scarring to remove.
