I love tattoos. I have a couple anime style tattoos, but honestly, they're of a couple of my OCs. One OC on my chest, the other Chibi OC, on my left arm.
I also have a "legit" kanji tattoo of the word promise, on my right hand.

I plan to get more anime based tattoos in the future. Most of them are related to my own OCs, but I do plan on getting:
Hakumen's Emblem from Blazblue (If you look closely, the design is of a nine tailed fox; so I pretty much have to get it, because foxes are my favorite animal)

I want to have a couple tats. Thought about it for years, and will be getting some.

I want to have a quote on my arm from a poem I have loved for years (bibliophile here) and that which has always held a significant meaning for me, and a few others. Either a quote or a symbol on my shoulder, and two small, matching tats on my fingertips of either hand.

As with anything, you should seriously think before getting something done. Don't get tats with names on it, and think a LOT before getting one with an anime/manga series. Your love of the story may fade in time, don't forget that.

I personally love seeing tattoo's anime related. I've seen some people with a couple Ghibi related ones like Totoro or Spirited Away.

I'd love to get tattoo's based from anime. I use to have a whole drawing of all the stuff I wanted for a sleeve. The hard part about it though is you're gonna run out of room for that and with more anime always coming out you're probably going to want more and be stuck sticking it somewhere else. :/
In my case I'd have to make things tiny to make it all fit lol. And I wouldn't be able to use my other arm since I was planning game related stuff for that arm. xD

I think that would be a bully magnet. Something like a random logo from it would be as far as someone should go really but it's their choice and body.

I would never get one, and I would probably mentally judge anyone that did.

Your life, though.

As long as you go to a good artist and get something timeless - something that you know you'll still enjoy and appreciate in years to come. It doesn't have to be anything serious or profound. So, if you know you'll always have a love for F/sn and Evangelion, then go for it.

As for the thought of getting Tohsaka's command symbol on your hand, think about how that will affect you. What is your current career path or what profession are you involved in? If it won't interfere with this, then be my guest, otherwise I would reconsider the placement.

Edit: To whoever said it would be a "bully magnet", the only way to become truly happy in life is to disregard (with exceptions and limitations) the opinion's of others. If it makes you happy, and you enjoy it greatly, then that is personal for you, and only you.

But if you aren't confident in what you want to get done, don't get it done. My motto is that if you have the slightest doubt, you shouldn't get it done. If you find yourself asking for other people's opinions and they tell you not to do it and your reaction is something along the lines of "oh, they're right, I shouldn't" then you didn't want to commit in the first place and were having doubts.

I also like to stick to a 6 month rule when deciding on designs. If I still want it after seeing it everyday for 6 months (as a drawing I've done stuck up on my wall or something arather) then I'll stick with it.

I'm currently saving up for a tattoo. I've got 3 that I've been sitting on for a long time, and I will continue to. I'm in no rush to get them done and I'm prioritizing my general savings, savings for a car and savings to pay for University first. When the time comes that I have enough money on the side to afford a good artist for a quality piece, I'm going to go ahead. Since I'm going from smallest to biggest, I could probably have my first 2 done within the next 2 years without sacrificing too much money.

I have a catgirl tattoo on my left calf. I got it back in 2002 and I've loved it every day.

I haven't seen anyone being ridiculed for having any particular tattoo. When I got the catgirl tattoo, I was working in an industrial setting. A lot of old, ex-military diesel mechanics worked there and none of them knew what anime was, but none of them made fun of it or me. If nothing else, they made fun of another guy's inkblot Yosemite Sam tattoo he got when he was smashed.

For my right calf, I can't decide between Lum from Urusei Yatsura or a bunny girl. I've been having this fight with myself for years. I'm also gonna get a Sailor Mercury symbol on my left forearm. Right now, though, I have fatherly obligations.

I kind of want one, but I have no idea what I would get. The only tattoo
I have at the moment is a religious one.

I can't get an anime related tattoo. I'll have to get an ordinary tattoo instead which I have no idea how i want it to look at the moment.
