My boyfriend works from home and loves it. He loves PCs, so if he can be close to his own computer, he is a lot happier. He still socializes with friends, and he gets full time hours, good pay, and benefits through his work at home job.

I wish I had a work at home job that was something other than customer service. I have to work that now outside of the home, and even though I do get more social interaction, I could easily do my job from home, where I feel more comfortable.

Work at home jobs are certainly not for the more extroverted person, but for those like myself and my boyfriend who are introverts, having less human interaction is just fine.

In my case my job is 50+ miles away, including traffic that's about 2-2.5 hours of driving saved every day I work from home. It allows me to live next to a state park, with a nice forest view outside my window instead of a cube. My job involves being on a phone most of the day talking to people not in my country so doing it from home or the office is about the same.

I wouldn't say its for everyone, or for every job but it works for my job. I still see people on my team on a regular basis, I even go in to work about once a week to see whats going on. Only advantage of being closer and going in more often IMO would be the super cheap gym membership and other perks. And its nice to go into work because you want to instead of being forced to.

WELL OFC yours truly works from home xD lolz the reason i work from home is because the people i work with are not friendly and too much office drama. I socialize via social media or CR and some other messaging apps also when I go to College. I am very much anti-social IRL though i dont mind being alone as long as i have anime and my games im all set xD and I roll out of bed and work in my Pajamas all day and watch anime whenever I want so its pretty awesome ^_^

Mmm... this is very close to the same thing as the other thread about Being on CR while working...

But this is more specific about working from home... so I won't say anything more on that.

Same answer as what I said on the other thread though: I work from home, I still get plenty of social interaction, as for why I work from home, that is a personal reason that I do not feel like getting into.

Let's jut say I can essentially get paid to play video games and watch anime, and I will leave it on that light-hearted note.

Each day I wish I can write a bestselling novel... so I can just stay at home and write more stuffs. I hate going to work. I hate dealing with people.

I could be confined in my home for 365 days and still remain sane.

lol, my family owns a hotel in the Bahamas, which we all work at/live at. So i technically work from home. I barely have any social interaction except with my family so its a bit maddening xD! but that's what the forums are for!! that magical thing known as "social interaction"

im going to have to agree with you 100% over the past year or so, i have wanted to become an author so all i have to do is, stay home, drink wine, write novels and watch anime. I hate dealing with alot of the people in the outside world, since they are either ignorant or self centered

I just spent the last 30 minutes looking into work at home jobs. Too bad they pay $5 or more less an hour than what I'm paid. I'm willing to give up pay if I'm happier....but first I need to get my bills paid off. Oh adult life...

Was thinking someone was gonna talk about ways to work from home, but it ends up being someone that doesn't understand the greatness.
