Per the manga page, the next chapter comes out on the 10th. As for subscribing, I think something like that is in the works, but I don't know a way to do it right now.

Adding onto Beard's response, ch. 387 is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, June 10th at 4pm so keep an eye out for it

Notifications are not available for manga yet but it is definitely something that we all want to keep an eye out for that as well!

Those illegal scanlations sites may be upload early because of raws released by subscribers getting their copies early, but CR is required by their agreement with the publisher to wait until the street date before making the chapters available.

What do you mean by street date? Mind explaining some more thanks.

My understanding was that thanks to the agreement with kodansha whenever FT chapters would be published in weekly magazine that corresponding chapter would have been available in English at CR

Else for sake of knowledge, does scanlation ( I'm not saying reading sites like mangareader, mangainn and so on) website also fall into the illegal category? I thought scanlators sites like Mangastream were clean b/c the latter would usually buy the raws thanks to some contact in Japan then translate it for free.

No, they are most definitely illegal, and are making money off of advertising through other people's hard work, and not passing any of that along to the publishers or authors/artists.

Just like a book, DVD, film, or magazine outside of Japan, manga magazines have a scheduled date when they are to be sold in stores. These may be sent out early to people with a mailing subscription, based on when the printing is finished and shipped out.

Now that's a shocker b/c until now i understood that the scanlators too had to wait for the schedule date when the magazines would be on sale in japan (i.e Japanese usually get to read the manga before us) then have someone buy it, scan it and email it them. Only then the scanlation groups would work on these scans a.k.a raws i.e doing the translation, cleaning and so on.

I also read recently on these forums that the stores that sell the manga magazines get them shipped early, though they aren't put in the store until the scheduled date, and some employees may leak or provide scans early.

I don't generally care about a day or two and am happy to wait for the legal version to come out.

Yh, I too don't mind reading after a day or two and especially with proper job done with translation and stuff...

Looks like everyone jumped on to explain and I appreciate it! We release chapters/volumes as soon as they are released (on shelves) in Japan. Sites like mangahere, mangareader, mangafox, etc. are all illegal sites. You can find lists of legal sites online though. Thanks for your patience!

Indeed reading sites like mangahere, mangareader, mangafox are definitely illegal was just a bit curious about scanlators sites e.g A-team or mangastream but from what some explained above they too are illegal to some extent...
