Professional gamer. I've gotten pretty competitive in games and have regularly played with WCG players.

Something that payed me a lot of happiness, because it would suck having to spend my happiness just to survive. The entertainment industry would go down the drain too, as I don't think many people would continue to pay for it in any form if the mere act of purchasing stuff makes you depressed. This entire idea is just creepy. I mean its a literal take on the worst aspect of economies. You actively become more happy by taking it from other people. No longer can you have a simple but happy life, as being rich is in fact synonymous with happy, and since making more 'happiness' gives a direct psychological endorphin boost, you can be damn sure you are going to just keep on taking. I suspect most people would sell there own families into slavery if offered the chance as it would make them EXTREMELY happy to do so, both by taking off a financial happiness burden as well as providing direct happiness compensation from the buyer.

EDIT: I wonder if use of anti-depressants would be a federal counterfeiting offense.

My ideal job assuming all potential complications (economic, personal, or otherwise) are no objects of substantive concern? A surface warfare officer, particularly one in an aircraft carrier force.

The OP is effectively asking a revised version of a standard hypothetical question:

"Assuming you were able to maintain your preferred standard of living irrespective of your occupation, and further assuming that no substantive barriers to entry would be present, what would you do to fill your time?"

The question is designed to discern a person's passions and interests. It's usually the first question one asks themselves when setting career goals, both in the long and short terms. The question's answer is useful for determining what specific careers a person would and would not be satisfied with, and answering it is a crucial first step for working toward improving one's job satisfaction.

Are we done pretending the OP asked a stupid question now?

I never said the OP asked a stupid question. I answered his question with what I would do if happiness was currency. Are you done over thinking other peoples posts now? Do you personally think the question was stupid? Hmm

Thank the guy that just called you stupid in a roundabout way? I'll admit he was pretty clever about it.
