List the full title of some shounen anime series. Explain anything else in your opinion in great detail.

There seem to be some shounen anime shows that put off a seinen feel to it. Though the fact that it's a shounen instead. Maybe if it were seinen instead of shounen you would have given it more of a chance. Yet some fans don't see that necessarily as a good thing while some do see it. Just because the anime is seinen doesn't mean anything really. That doesn't change the fact that there are some shounen anime shows meant to be seinen in a way. It doesn't have to be the gore/violence in the series, it can be some of the mature themes, depth character development, and anything else giving off a seinen. Explain what you think about that. Does having seinen make it better or just the same? Would you watch it if it were a seinen instead?

To Love-Ru Darkness, I guess. It got pretty out of hand with the ecchi.

I've seen it classified as shounen and NOT seinen.
Are you joking though?

Yes. The manga serialized in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine.

I'm curious if anyone mistaken Shingeki no Kyojin for a Shounen Jump anime?

TLR is tame compared to TLR:D.

But still neither are hentai.

As for the actual topic... well AoT was what I was thinking of... I know a couple of Jump manga series that seem a bit older or mature for a shonen magazine... kind of... but none are anime as far as I know.

Uhm... how about maybe FMA?

Well To Love-Ru Darkness is still apart of the To Love-Ru franchise. That is why I listed hentai for it overall.

Gunslinger Girl often is. I'd say... 90% of the time. I mean, mistaken for a Seinen title, that is. It's really a Shounen title.

And, erm, necessarily, the demographic doesn't define the content, just what it's serialized under.

In the end, whether it's shounen, shoujo, seinen, or josei doesn't matter. It's what in the work itself that matters.

Well, it's absolutely true.

A Silent Voice is also a shounen that deals with "mature" themes. It's about a boy who bullies a deaf girl to the point where she drops out of school and as a result he's shunned by his classmates and bullied just as bad. He goes through school with no friends and no aspirations for the future because of this. Which, the story is him redeeming himself as a person. Doesn't sound like a shounen, does it? The mangaka for A Silent Voice also did the manga adaptation for Mardock Scramble, which, again, is also a shounen.

Both are manga though (Well Mardock Scramble has three film adaptations), so they doesn't apply here, but still.

The Flowers of Evil is also a shounen.

See what I mean?
