What's an easy way to get yourself to fall asleep?
Posted 6/11/14 , edited 6/11/14
Do you work? Do you go to school? I used to have the same problem when I didn't do nothing the whole day. As soon as I got a job from 7am to 3pm and going to college afterwards made me fall asleep as soon as I got home ^^ if you're not working....Next time, wake up at 5am (even if you didn't sleep the day before) go to the gym, and keep yourself busy during the day...go back to the gym at night, and believe me, you'll sleep like a baby.

Want something quick? grab a book.

For me falling asleep only requires me laying down. As soon as I lay down, it is determined that I will fall asleep, whether I want to or not.

I believe you my sister is like that. I'm so jealous of you guys.

When i ask her how she do it. She always tell me "stop thinking". I mean seriously?

I find it's best to blank your mind. So find something that will help you do that and do it. Also Cammille tea might help.

Watch an average anime...

But stupid thing is sometimes the anime becomes interesting and then I end up pulling an allnighter

Not very good advice from her I'd say. XD
I can't really control my thinking process, I just stop doing it subconsciously.
Not really happy to hear you're jealous tho, I hate falling asleep so easily. TT__TT

There's not really a quick way to just fall asleep on a dime when you're having a restless night; unless you grab some medication.

The easiest way to sleep is to have a good schedule and keep to it. That way your body is naturally tired right around when you want to go to bed. Being active through out the day will help you sleep as well. Some other tricks are to shower a couple hours before bed, not to eat or drink an hour or so before sleeping, and to stop watching tv/playing games/etc a bit before you lay down. Essentially you want to relax your body and mind before you try to sleep.

Thanks a lot for all of the really helpful advice, guys! I ended up following HappenCheese's idea and taking a warm bath. Definitely helped a lot, and I even ended up doing really well on my work today in classes. Time to make it a habit!

My sleep schedule is a mess. One day I might go to sleep at 6 A.M. and wake up at 4 P.M. right before work, then the next I'll go to sleep at a decent time like 1 A.M. Guess it depends on if my body wants to troll me or not.

I fantasize, daydream a great story in my head, continue or change an anime or manga to suit how you like it. <(in all honesty this doesn't work because then I'm getting great ideas that keep me up for literally hours)
My usual time getting to sleep is 1-2am

Brick to the cranial region. Repeat until coma sets in, or blood loss/brain trauma makes you pass out.

Warm milk with honey and body pillow.
If these don't work, masturbate... Still not, sleep pill. (<--I don't do that.)

Does drinking warm milk seriously work?
