This all started 2 days ago. My connection is fine as I can watch Netflix, HBO GO, Twitch.tv on Xbox 360 without any hiccup at the highest quality, however recently with CR every time I watch an episode it stops to buffer every 5 to 10 seconds, with the buffering lasting anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds each.

I could not find any recent reports of a similar issues so I thought I would put something here. Anyone else having these issues recently? If so, any solution?

Are you seeing this with brand new episodes, episodes from earlier in the season, or catalog episodes?

Last time I experienced something like this, I simply backed out of the video (in order to let it fully cache at whatever CDN I was using), and came back to it a few minutes later with no buffering issues.

Was re-watching Bakemonogatari so yea . . . something with very little to no traffic.

Still doing this but it has become rather in-frequent however. My hope is that it's slowly recovering or else I'm just going to throw my glorified Crunchyroll machine in the trash and just make a cheapo PC to run Crunchyroll on my big screen.

I've also been having this problem and it only happens with the Crunchyroll app.

overall its been fairly unstable lately, new shows are fine, anything not new within say past 6-9 months is having playback issues(buffing, annoying app is failing comment, etc) best way to fix currently that I know of is to exit app and restart app, or sign out of current profile and then back in. Overall CR needs to address server stability kinda like EA does...

I'm having the same issue.

I'll try what eyeofpain recommended and see what happens.

To clarify what I was suggesting, I wasn't exiting the app, I was quitting the video and waiting 10-15 minutes before attempting to restart the video. Of course, your mileage may vary.

This problem isn't exclusive to any one platform. Most of the apps and PC are all experiencing the same problems.

I went to finish up NGNL today and opened up my resource monitor and I have yet to see Chrome demand over 60kb/sec when set to 1080p (should be several times that) which would be the source of the stuttering... their servers probably failed or something. If it's been going on for 2 days though as OP states then that's really unacceptable... I'm paying for this service and all.

If you read the /ToS, there are clauses that state, "Services Are Provided 'As Is'" and that CR is not liable in the case of Force Majeure, including "failure at an Crunchyroll co-location facility."

I've also been experiencing some intermittent problems tonight, and it has been a bit annoying.

Sure, that's just them covering their ass in the case of random weather e.g. ice on a telephone pole, regional earthquake, local problems, etc. etc.

Its not an excuse for a service-wide failure to provide any service on a consistent basis, and whats more, its just downright rude to not say anything when this has been happening for months.
