Hmm... honestly there are only 2 100+ episode shows I liked enough to finish all the way through/keep watching to now. Gintama and HxH.

So I guess shorter series because they don't do as much filler. I will say though I prefer 24-26 episode series over 12-13 because 12-13 quite often leaves on a cliffhanger or open ending where as 24-26 does not.

Obviously this is not ALWAYS the case, but it happens more often than I think I like.

i would like to see episodes be longer or more of them... 12 episodes just isn't enough usually to tell the story. If they were like 45mins long then 12 or 13 episodes would work otherwise they need to start making stuff 25 or 26. Stuff like naruto tho you really need a lot of episodes although i do agree with there being several fillers with most anything that goes past 50.

I prefer the shorter, especially when they're finished. I remember Naruto coming out when I was in middle school and it's still showing lol that's soooo many years to watch the same show

I generally lean toward shorter series, they're long enough to tell a good story and short enough to avoid going stale or becoming what would essentially be an anime sitcom. 24-26 is my effective limit, I like stories to have an ending, and watching hundreds upon hundreds of episodes of a series usually just points to a lack of any meaningful story.

I don't care how many epsiodes an anime is as long as it's enjoyable.
Though if it's an anime I think is great and such, I'd prefer it being longer of course xD Like Attack on Titan, damn that final, I want more now XD

I think it's stupid to decide not to watch an anime just because it's long. Like you don't have to watch it all in "one go", you could watch some of it, then take a break or watch other anime at the same time.
People who don't watch One Piece because it has over 600 episodes is dumb.

depends on the show and how i like it or enjoy wacthing for example One piece yea i love that show and dont mind it because it has little to no fillers at all, HxH Amazing show keeps me intrigued all the time.. shorter animes 25 ep. are good except when theres still more story to the anime. per example kuroko basketball attack on titan.. i hate waiting for the next season

i usually tend to like something shorter because the super long stuff tends to have a lot of filler. the most i like to watch at a time is a 50 episode series like gundam or whatever. i actually really liked what they did with 00 though and how they split up the series into two 25 episode seasons so it was a bit more bite sized unlike something like gundam seed and seed destiny where both seasons are ~50 episodes each (seed sucks though anyway so w/e)

Depends on the material. If there is an actual plot, it might need its time to evolve - 25 is often so short. So 50 is better.
Fan-Service driven stories are nice from time to time, but totally okay to only last 12/13 episodes.
A really good story, which does not endless pointless fighting trope, can continue and reach over 100. However, shows with 300+ episodes are very unlike every good and nothing more than a wast of ink that shound be fined.

Usually I don't care about length, but I tend to prefer series that are roughly 24-26 episodes long.

I've seen series as short as 3 episodes and as long as 127 and loved them both, but at the end of the day, I think the 25ish point is a good mark to end at. If its too short, it just leaves you wanting more. Its definitely possible to have a good and fulfilling story in 12 episodes, but sadly, it doesn't always happen and just leaves this great big hole advertising the source material or a second season. Longer shows, on the other hand, get stale after a while. I'd say 25 episode seasons manage to stay their welcome just long enough to be fulfilling without getting stale.

However, the shows that got me into anime had 25ish episode seasons, so that bias is probably part of the reason why I prefer that length. I got into anime thinking that was the length of a standard season, and was a tad bit disappointed when I started simulcasting and realized that most shows were half that length.

^That

Although there's a better chance I'm going to watch a series after it's started if there's only a few episodes in it at the moment I jump in, and I have dropped series because the series was too long.

if the anime is good then 12 episodes will have me content if its good and continues to go 100+ it could become stale and gradually lose quality just for the sake of continuing

Watching ones with too many is a put off. Only make that exception for Pokemon/Yugioh
