Not sure how accurate your info is, or the info below but this is a repost from gamefaqs, take it with a grain of salt.


They get an ordinary salary for the magazines, which is pretty decent. Not great, but not bad, and it's better if they're more popular/experienced. Basically like a typical job.

Then they get something like 10% of the volume sales, which is usually something like $.50 per volume. So if it's a really popular manga, they can make a lot of money. The really huge series can sell a million copies of each volume, and weekly jump series have 5 volumes per year, so that'd be another ~$2.5M yearly from new releases, plus whatever their catalog sells.

Well idk that's from all the research I did I am not saying I'm right I may be wrong which is fine I guess in a few years I'll see how it works and check back with you guys! it's truly frustrating and annoying searching for this info I went through many youtubers like how to bam, and filepe smith, and some blogs though the one that helped me the most is Jamie Lynn lano's
