The link below is the article I found while surfing the socials. If you also share a huge Otaku like feeling for this series, You should definitely check it out. One of thee Greatest Canadian Tv series ever invented.

Interesting news, they tried continuing the series as a trilogy of films. Yet they cancelled it due to other feature films under their production.

I really want to see ReBoot return in some form, it was a monumental achievement in cgi, before toy story. It's also had plenty of history of being cancelled and returning by popular demand. Love the joke in season 2, it openly insults the group who deemed ReBoot unpopular.

Here in the uk they cancelled it twice, they dropped it with season 2, and then half way season 3. They deemed not many watched it. So they replaced it, which ironically was replaced within 2 months and it's replacement was also dropped within a month.

Took me years to find the rest of the series, thank god for the internet and fellow fans.

Eventually I learned about the movies, despite the audio issue, they were fitting additions to the show.

The only downside is the passing of the great Tony Jay aka Megabyte! R.I.P.

If they go through with this, then it'll be interesting what changes there'd be, since so much has changed when the concept started. We now have mobile phones for almost every single person, cloud storage, social media of all kinds & cgi has become so complex and detailed.
Just re-watch the toy story films and compare how different they actually are in just over ten years, with ReBoot nearing 20, it'll show just how radically different computers have evolved.

The eps can be found on youtube, though rainmaker did release the whole set on dvd. There's three versions, a complete boxset with everything and two half sets, with the 1st set having seasons 1+2 & 2nd having 3+4.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the show. Where did you get up to? Don't want to spoil it for you.

Curious to see what they do with the franchise.

I think when the show was on I missed the last ep of the first season and just watched a bunch of the second. I am pretty far off lol. I tried to rewatch is 2 years ago but the site went down I was watching it on so I just stopped. Lol, the tech world has a lot of changes. Hopefully they know the right ones to add in.

I talk about this show all the time, but none of my friends remember it! I know there was a webcomic that picked up right after the massive cliffhanger the show ended on all those years ago, and there was even a Reboot panel a few weeks ago at Anime North.

That is so awesome that it is coming back!

But if megabyte is coming back, they should get either Tim Curry or Kelsey Grammar to take over Tony Jay's Role.

Could be good. Watched it a few months back and was shocked with how poorly it's held up over the years.

Crazy thing is there is a voice actor who sounds identical to him, though sadly i can't recall who he is.

Though the voice issue can be resolved in the story with a canon thing.

Look forward to this eventually coming! Love the series.
