Don't know what is going on but the PS3 app for CR has been constantly doing the buffer dance today. This is happening fr all titles that I have loaded up in my queue.

Loaded up my Roku3 and all videos are streaming fine, same for my tablet, laptops and PC's.

The streaming for the PS3 was working fine earlier in the week (Monday - Wednesday) and today (Friday) it is just running crappy.

The only issue is with the PS3 and not with any of the other platforms that I have in the house.

Any suggestions would be greatly helpful on this.

It also appears to be a PS3-specific issue, since in the messages I've seen here and elsewhere (e.g., Premium Members section), some people note that other devices (which would be on the same CDN) don't have the problem.

Odd, right? It was working so well after that update. Not off base to assume the matinence from a few days ago may have something to do with it.

The buffering issue from what I have noticed lessens in the early morning hours here in the Western US TZ's. Right now, it would be considered prime time for streaming viewing for at least the CR members that are pulling to their severs.

By early morning, I am talking after 0100 hours in my area. The video quality tends to be better with only a little buffering compared to every 5 to 6 seconds. Running Netflix right now on my PS3 and I am not getting any buffering with that program nor with my Hulu + account either. Also, I have added the OpenDNS server addresses to my PS3 to route through those DNS servers like I have with my PC's and laptop and that does not make any difference with the buffering issues on the PS3.

I am inclined to think that it is something with the CR servers and all of the members pulling from it. I have submitted a help ticket to CR support and I still haven't heard a response from them.

Hope that this bit of information helps someone out there that is having the same issues.

It takes me a good three of four goes at the moment before I can actually get an episode to stream. yet the same episodes work fine on my AppleTV in the other room.

Any news on the PS3 App? Since yesterday (14JUN14) I am not able to play anything. Reset router, cable modem, rebooted my servers and nothing. Damn, and I was hoping to kill some time with anime and dramas for a few hours.

I'm actually having it happen on all platforms: PS4, PS3 and Ouya. I get maybe 10 seconds into it, then it just freezes.

Just adding my name to the pile. On my PS3, some episodes buffer every 5 or 6 seconds, sometimes I can get halfway through a show before it crops up. I haven't been able to stream a single episode in the past three days without it pausing to buffer at least a few times.

When I get sick of it I go to my PC and the stream loads in 720 instantly, and plays through with zero problems. I have also tested on my android app and have not had a problem there.

PC is wired, PS3 is wired, and Android is on the wifi obviously.

I don't watch massive amounts of anime at a time, but watched 2 episodes of Sword Art Online last night and one the previous night with no problems at all. It took a kind of long time to log me in and start up the app 2 nights ago, but that's it, no video problems. I haven't had any problems on my PS3 since the update and have not been tip-toeing around the app like I used to before the update. I wonder if it's just because I don't use it as much...?

I tend to binge watch. I hadn't loaded the app for a couple weeks, then when I tried to use it a few days ago the problems started.

My PS3 has not been able to use Crunchyroll for at least 3 weeks now, when ever they did that major update to the Crunchyroll app. It played fine until then. Now I can't watch anything without it stopping every 3 seconds due to what I assume is a buffering issue. I makes watching anything impossible unless you like to watch things on constant pause.

This is happening to me as well. I'm not sure what the problem is, but an episode will stop, buffer and even sometimes completely skip an episode instead of playing from the buffer point. Extremely annoying.
