Wiki:

"Tulpa
Tulpa (Tibetan: སྤྲུལ་པ, Wylie: sprul-pa; Sanskrit: निर्मित nirmita and निर्माण nirmāṇa; "to build" or "to construct") also translated as "magical emanation", "conjured thing" and "phantom" is a concept in mysticism of a being or object which is created through sheer spiritual or mental discipline alone. It is defined in Indian Buddhist texts as any unreal, illusory or mind created apparition. According to Alexandra David-Néel, tulpas are "magic formations generated by a powerful concentration of thought." It is a materialized thought that has taken physical form and is usually regarded as synonymous to a thoughtform."

idk what any of that means, but no.

OK so honestly didn't know what a tulpa was... so I looked it up...

Sounds like modern society has tried to rename imaginary friends into a different word based on some old buddhism thing to be cool or something to me.

^This is EXACTLY what a tulpa is.

http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Tulpa is where It because an established meme of sorts. Basically it's an imaginary friend that you wish really really hard that it's real; with a spin on the name. /thread.

So if you have an imaginary darkened vein on your penis that you chat with, does it fit both definitions?

Sadly my imagination and powers of concentration are not great enough for me to visualize one. I do find myself mentally talking to my OTPs and Waifus, but even them I am conscious that they are not hearing me.
Simple answer: I do not.

Those silly Buddhists....

They make great snacks. Wasn't that the proverb? 'When you come across Buddha, eat him entirely.' Roger that, Buddhism. I'll eat the Buddha.
