Are there certain words in you're vocabulary nobody around you uses, but you've picked up? Or perhaps words people you know do use, but you don't, or the vast majority doesn't?

For me, I've picked up a few. When I was young, I picked up 'bloody' as a cuss word from the Harry Potter series, and it stuck with me into adulthood. I picked up 'Charlie Foxtrot' to describe a situation which is a total cluster....you get it. As well as FUBAR or SNAFU, all three from my family who used to be in the military. Smokes for cigarettes, which I don't remember where I got it.

I use the word 'twat' a lot, and, despite it being supposedly common over here in the UK, I don't know anyone who uses it apart from my dad albeit rarely.

Puppy Tummy.

It comes from the description of when puppies eat too much their bellies get round and hard; so when you over eat (like at holiday meal) and feel too full you have "puppy tummy".
