I said "outlandish" once and the person had no idea what it meant and thought it was weird; I thought it was reasonably common. Oh well. I was also in the Navy for the last 7 years so I have to keep myself from using military aviation slang among my civilian friends XD also sometimes try to use japanese (obviously because all the anime I watch) but also I was stationed in Japan for 3 years. Took me a while to not automatically say "domo" to waitresses, though that's not really slang.

Me and my mates tend to have some pretty weird words for use in conversations. only ones that come to mind at the moment are "what the shit" used in substitute for what the hell, but it just sounds funnier. if someone muddles their words up i yell HOTDOG because of this one thing that happened this one time. Also theres all the supposedly weird words i would say as an Australian like "stobie pole" which is like telephone/electricity pole. "snag" sausage. Also thongs are footwear and we eat prawns not shrimp
Oh also cheap cask wine is called goon

I have actually told someone they were as "useful as teats on a bull."
Usually I try not to be mean, but they still didn't get it....

Instead of cussing at work, I have a few phrases that are less controversial:
Fudge Muffins
Son of a Biscuit Eater
Shitake Mushrooms
What the hey diddle diddle?
Hellfire and brimstone
hotter than the hinges of hell

Hoping to come up with some new ones.

Not much, but saying Sello tape. Then I hear my brother yelling at me "you're not f*ckin British!" in the backround.
I think that comes from watching too much Ashens on youtube.
