I don't know how I feel about Bell tbh. He's hard to read sometimes although I do feel bad about what happened in the latest episode...with what he went through.

Anyways, this series is still on the edge of oddball for me. Also, dat hair:

It doesn't make sense because Bell is a flying contradiction, he's a traitor to his own organization and get sad about the people he killed, would it made him feel better killing teammates he didn't know? This has to be the worse Gundam pilot ever, everything he do doesn't make sense, I'm still confused about what's going on. I rather just watch Gundam Age again.

I think he's a traitor in the making. The only reason he takes up arms against the Capital Army is because he owes the Amerians a few favors (and ostensibly because he can escape in the G-Self). I think he cares a lot more about whether people are right or wrong rather than where he's from or who he's supposed to be patriotic for. He doesn't think the Capital Army should exist any more than the Amerians do.

If it's a question of right or wrong, then Ameria is winning, and Bellri is slowly realizing that more and more. Capital Tower abuses their political power and their energy monopoly over the world. They break the Taboo repeatedly because they assume they have divine authority. They pretty much caused the Amerian/Gondwan war. Plus the Char clone works for them. I doubt they're still "the good guys" at this point.

Ameria on the other hand, has been fighting out of a necessity to survive. They've treated Bellri and his friends with respect and mercy, even as prisoners of war. Bellri clearly sees them as what they are, rather than "the enemy." I think that's why he doesn't just escape, like he so easily could do.

I just realized what I like the most about this show:

It shows instead of tells 95% of the time. Very little "As you know [insert thing that everyone in this universe should know]" moments, very little "That is his happy face" lines of dialogue to tell us something about a character that should instead be shown.

Sure, people have told us things about Bell and Klim Nick, but they've also shown those things in the body of the story, which is how it should be done.

On the latest episode:

-The reflector was really cool. I'm digging the backpack concept a lot now, which is more than could be said for how I feel about SEED's backpack.
-It alsor eminded me of Cherudim's shield bits, like how the Capital Tower reminds me of the space elevator, and how the Minovsky Flight particles look like GN particles. The Elf-Bull's lasers in this and the last ep reminded me of the Innovade mobile suits as well, with the finger lasers and stuff.
-The ending I saw coming from weeks ago thanks to the ED. It also cracked me up to go from that ending to G NO RECONGUISTAAAAAA
-Dellensen's Elf-Bull dual wielding guns made me think of Wing's twin busters. I was expecting him to combine them and shoot a super blast, but nope.
-Chuchumy! Ever since he showed up I've grown to like Raraiya a lot. She's gotten tolerable now that she says more than just "G!"
-Stop teasing me with the G-Arcane already. Show it do cool things! I preordered its Gunpla ages ago and I wanna see it be awesome.
-Mask Corps? So not one but a whole squad of masked dudes? I also dig that there's actual reasons behind the mask instead of "We're writing a Gundam show and they expect us to have some guy in a mask being a baller".

I really hope the rumors are true and we're going to Venus to have sick submarine battles in space later in the series.

I don't really know what's up with Bellri anymore. It's not ok for the Capital Army to develop mobile suits, but it's ok for the Ameria to build things like the G-Self.

" I think he cares a lot more about whether people are right or wrong rather than where he's from or who he's supposed to be patriotic for. " Sounds like the second coming of Kira. I can understand the Capital Tower monopolizing energy, but Ameria is also breaking the taboo too by creating the G-Self and other model that's currently out or you want to say they evacuated that stuff from underground.

The story would have been more understanding if it was more logically at the beginning. I still can't get my head around the Capital Tower leisurely letting the pirate girl operate the G-Self with Bell and company in it to escape. The pirate girl was also having tea with a high official member casual walking around with no restraints. I say she was treated pretty well as a prisoner of war. I really don't think Bell is doing it for his people yet, he's simply love struck and finding excuses to be with that girl, he'll do it for a greater cause later, but he's just a confuse puppy using excuses for what he did.

Am I the only one here who really likes this show so far?

Also the thing about exposition dumps, they can really make an anime bad if done too much. (Seed Destiny)

I'd rather get chunk and piece it together myself then having nothing but flashback and exposition.

There's something I've been wondering for weeks now. Is the masked guy actually named Mask or is that just a lazy nickname? If his name really is Mask, I don't know whether to facepalm or applaud.

I like it a lot too. It was looking iffy for a little bit, but when I rewatched episode 5 right before going into episode 6 it all came together for me.

I already like it way more than, say, Nobunaga the Fool and Captain Earth, thank goodness. I was worried we'd have another one of those on our hands. Now I'm just waiting for the story to properly develop.

Does anybody else still watch this show? A new episode came out yesterday and nobody's talking about it.

Anyways, just when I was wondering where Luin was...

But yeah, once RightStuf gets their distribution rights settled with their recent Gundam acquisition, hopefully it can make its way over to CR, and more people will start watching it.

More importantly though: is the show's beta couple supposed to be Klim Nick x Mick Jack or Klim x Raraiya? Klim and Mick haven't had much interaction before this, but there were multiple hints that they knew what each other was thinking even when the comms were down. And when Bellri's mom came to the base, Klim and Mick were totally being bros. What the heck, Tomino.

I watch it religiously.

Also I think I finally figured out what the heck is going on:

Taboos and limited technologies we're put in placed to keep Humanity on Earth, so that the Earth could heal properly without incident like the One Year War from happening on Earth. But the Amerians found out that something big was coming from space, specifically the moon, so they wanted to prepare for it by making UC technology again. And I'm guessing that the G-Self was sent to the Amerians from the Moon to help with their preparation, but sent from who and why is the question. Then the Capital Army found out, and since they uphold the Taboos they wanted to stop them, thus the source of the current conflicts.

Since the Capital Army has high level technology, I'm going under the assumption that the higher-ups are in league, or directly behind, what is going on with the moon.

Also these, Kuntalas are some sort of minority for some reason, why that is may be important.

I watch this and try every week. One problem for me I am watching 43 animes so to comment is tough. Especially thursdays. I go to town on 4 or 5 of them and then some others. I like this anime alot.

There are all sorts of counter deals going on!

I started watching this show. It reminds me of all those good old 80's animes and puts a big nostalgic smile on my face. Ahh, the good old days.

Episode 10

Well that was freaking awesome. 10/10, probably my favorite episode thus far.

Tomino decided it was time for budget lol

Episode 11

Another pretty good episode. I think the president means well, but I doubt leaving Klim Nick in charge of a special forces-type unit will turn out well, but maybe it will. It's a pretty light-hearted show so far.

Sadly, Klim Nick x Mick Jack is far more official than Klim Nick x Raraiya currently.

I guess Mask is gonna go in true Char Clone fashion and lose almost every fight and yet still get the latest experimental suits and never get proper punishment lol
