even though i watched the first anime season, i still feel like i'm missing a huge gap of information. Guess i should watch the movie.

The movie was a pretty major step for the series, so it would feel like that.

Very nice action! The one thing it seems the cast / VA's are so unemotional! That;s too bad because the story and Sci-fi are good!

Thought Episode 2 was pretty damn good. Rather found myself caught up in the action. and the rest of it as well. There's some heavier attention to detail here than the first season, or at least that is my impression.

Certainly already feeling like this is in this seasons top tier for me. Hope i am not dissapointed.

So all eyes are on Tsubaki and those trio of recruits? And right now, it's no surprise that someone are questioning Tsubaki's ideas. Sigh.....there's still a lot of mysteries going on around here.

Not much action from the latest episode though but I expect the pacing to pick up soon.

Episode 3

The setup continues as Jonathan is indeed Maya's half-brother as Mitsuhiro is his father, while his mother is someone other than Chizuru. Emery talks with Tsubaki, and it shows how Tsubaki ended up being the island's Mir. What happened was that her mother was absorbed while Tsubaki was still in her womb. And then there's that core inside the Well of Urd that could make for a potentially strong Fafner army, but it's dangerous to deal with. So pretty much, there's not a whole lot going on.

The fact that this exists is causing me to be on the verge of tears, Fafner in the Azure was amazing but I wanted more.... and they delivered with the movie Heaven and Earth.... which made me ball my eyes out even more than the series, and now they have answered my wish with Exodus.... but I get the feeling this will have the most bittersweet ending of them all. If Kazuki and Soushi die at the end saving the world.......... I will be bawling my heart out for a few months......

Episode 3

Is it just me or does the candidates for the new pilots look like the ones from Majestic Prince? No, not just by looks but their kinda ...freshness as newbies.

A fine episode but not much action. Felt like a calm before the storm.

Episode 4

Here come three new pilots in Mimika, Leo, and Sui, and they are from different backgrounds. I remember that Fumihiko was pretty aggressive when it came to getting their parents to let their kids go into combat. That was a solid way to introduce them considering that I'm having a hard time keeping names straight. Anyway, there's an awful lot of setup going on and hopefully the action comes soon.

Episode 5

And now, the Festums invade the island with the new pilots thrusted into action. They are bent on breaking the shield from within having figured out the island's weakness, but the pilots save the day without too much trouble, although it means Mimika getting her arm hurt. And now we see that Emery's family is all a part of Mir, and a new one is coming. Pretty solid episode overall now that it returns to action.

This series' mechanics is pretty interesting actually. And Walker...I wonder what other strange beings we'll see later on?

Great action in the latest episode especially for the first half imo.

Episode 6

Miwa is off to India to talk to the Mir there, while Tsubaki has broken out of her tank. Except that isn't the Tsubaki, but someone who looks like her and has a much different personality. While Miwa is out talking to Mir, a Festum attacks, and Kazuki and Soshi decide to fight once more knowing full well that they are approaching their limits. That was some nice setup there to set the stage for a high-stakes battle to go down.

Episode 6

Why do I have feeling that something bad may happen to Kazuki soon? A decent setup episode with Miwa and such.

I don't know how powerful the enemy is yet but Kazuki better be ready. It's half way point of the series now so they got this setup and now it's ime to execute that momentum it has build up all this time.

Wanting peace huh? They better wipe out enemies like this first:

Otherwise, a pretty decent episode with the action.

Episode 7

And a big fight goes down. Miwa thought she had lost her mother, but she's right there. As for the pilots, they get backed into a corner, but they suddenly awaken with a new power to fight back against those Festums. They want peace, and yet they got a huge boost in power from something that entered their cores. Pretty solid action-packed episode this is.

Episode 8

After that battle, everybody gets examined and are given assimilation blockers seeing that using those powers make them one step closer to assimilation. Everybody is hoping that they come back from battle, and the Tsubaki clone has a name. Her name is Orihime since she was born during Tanabata. Kazuki and company are off on a mission, but it's going to be awhile before they arrive, so they will just go to sleep and let auto-pilot do its thing. And now there's big trouble going on with the Festums toppling the pillar. This episode is basically setup for big things to go down there at the end.
