I've never come across a truly stupid person. If you're capable of learning, you're not stupid, even if it takes more effort for you than it does for others. As a tutor, I see the word "stupid" thrown around as an excuse far too often. If you feel like putting in the effort to learn isn't worth your time, that's fine; I'm not going to judge you on your interests. It's when people say "I can't" that rattles me. I get that some people are better at logical thinking than others, but that's not stopping anyone from accumulating enough experience to make up for that. There are billions of "stupid" people out there who can completely blow me out of the water when it comes to a topic they've actually invested some time and effort into. Everyone is smart in one way or another.

As for ignorance, everybody has it. To lack ignorance is to be omniscient. There's nothing wrong with not knowing something, and there's nothing wrong with not wanting to know something, as long as your lack of knowledge isn't hurting anyone. Everyone's interested in something, and will gravitate towards building a knowledge base related to their interests, given the chance. Personally, I welcome and celebrate the fact that people can be so different from one another. It's impossible to know everything anyway, so it's a little pushy to expect people to be knowledgeable in areas they have no predilection for.

Amen

"Reading my manga: "Are you reading Pokemon?"

I get damage control every time some random person come up to me asking me that kind of question.

Sometimes we do or said stupid things without thinking things twice

Actually there has been research why otherwise intelligent individuals fail at solving such easy word problems like the one given by the OP.

Apparently smart people are actually more prone to making such mistakes, at least according to the research.

Which is why I firmly believe that everyone on this planet is "stupid." I'm stupid. You're stupid. We're all stupid.

It's nasty people that suck.

Stupidity generally isn't a precursor to being nice so I don't really pay it much mind

It depends on how ignorant. If you're a little bit, I'll probably think you're funny. If you're just plain stupid, that gets annoying real fast

I don't believe "stupidity" itself exists. Stupid is simply a cloak or camouflage for what is underneath. The underneath may be one or many other elements such as ignorance and misinformation. In my book, stupid is the inability to learn, which every living creature has. Humans have trouble looking deeper than what they see on the outside. This may be why the idea of stupid exists.

As for "stupid" people, i prefer to try and inform them or help them not be so..."stupid". You can't help them all, unfortunately. Some refuse the help.
