It'll be out on CR in about an hour. Just aired in Japan I believe.

Already aired in Japan, quite good though it reminded me a lot of Koufuku Graffiti in spots. Not the same of course but if you watched KG... you'll see.

Episode 1

Soma sure knows how to cook, but he still pales in comparison to his father. But leave it to him to leave him high and dry after suddenly deciding to go to America while he ends up in a cutthroat culinary school. That was a pretty entertaining episode there to see Soma showing those realtors what he is made of. Of course it was all for naught because of his father and now he's got to survive culinary boot camp that should lead to some spicy competition.

ep 1

lewd

I have to say, other than the in your face fanservice, the other best part of the show has to be the music used during the cooking scene, intense as hell

Well that was a nice and fun episode. Nice cooking scenes and what not. And certainly plenty of fanservice too.

Solid start so far. There's a lot to take in the first episode. First off, can I just say that JC Staff did a fantastic job with the first episode? Presentation wise, this is beautiful. I do like Soma's character design/palette compared to the other characters. The "foodgasm" scenes caters both male and female audience to a point where I don't think fan service will be truly a problem. The food presented in the anime is detailed really well, I found myself craving some of the food myself. The soundtrack is on point, especially during the land shark vs. Soma scene.

This one is a keeper for the season.

That is exactly how I pictured the manga to be adapted. The fanservice might be more than the manga but w/e.

I agree with the other people saying the fanservice is a bit overboard, but so far I'm happy with that JC Staff has done with it so far and I can only hope that this adaption stays good.
